Analyze
For Mr. D’s Cyber Café to be a success the creation of its mission and vision statement and its values will guide it to becoming the leading Internet Cyber Café for Lincoln County. A mission statement is “a formal summary of the aims and values of a company, organization, or individual (Pearce & Robinson, Statregic management: Formulation, implementation, control. 2009)”. With Mr. D’s Cyber Café’s formal summary of making itself the most unique cyber café in all of Lincoln County through its ablitiy to offer supieror equipment and high speed interent it lays the ground work to achiving this goal. To offer supieor equipment Mr. D’s Cyber Café would buy its computers through Alienware, a leading company in gaming computers, these computers could not only be used for gaming but also for any other entertaiment or communication needs while set up perfectly for a local area network connection and high speed internet. Working with Alienware and making a deal to promote their computers Mr. D’s Cyber Café can afford to offer cheaper rates then its competitors because of the lower cost for its computers.
Placing restictions on the interet to ensure that the customers only access approved sites will help to keep virius out of the system and will make sure that no pornography or other such sites are accessed. This offers a measure of saftey to make sure that only appropriate webistes are accessed. This will also help make sure that this is a safe place for children to spend their time after school. The guiding priciples were put in place to make the mission and vision statements become a reality instead of a dream.
Evaluate
Lincoln County has a few cyber café’s that offer a place for people to get together for entertainment such as online gaming, school work, or other computer operations. Mr. D’s Cyber Café will offer its customers a safe place where they can play online games together or games through a local area network connection such Diablo III. It will also give a place for students in both high school and college a quiet place where they can access the internet and programs needed to complete their school work. By making this an affordable place to go to it will allow families with smaller incomes a place to enjoy the same benefits as those who have a great computer and internet access at home.
