It is one of three hospitals that residents of Monroe County have access to within a seventeen mile stretch. Now that most hospitals have integrated from the use of paper based patient charts to electronic medical records (EMR), healthcare providers have reached levels of patient care that were not available before. With EMR, patient charts are never lost. Providers are able to send a copy very fast to any office around the world. ...Overview: In many ways writing a short analysis paper (including recommendations and/or conclusions) is like writing an “action memo” or executive memo in business. The following sections go over how to organize and format your written work here in class and in the business world to be attractive to the reader and effective in getting your point across. Approach: * Read the entire case carefully before you actually begin to write the paper, and make careful notes (including your emotional reactions, which can be useful). Try to read the case once at least a few hours or a day earlier, and then again when you are writing the paper. This will give you time to reflect on the issues, and to think out effective recommendations before you actually have to articulate them. * Relate your analysis and recommendations as specifically as possible to concepts of the course as presented by the textbook, cases, materials on the course web site, articles, and the various guest speakers and class discussions This is where you show what you have learned and are able to apply. * Remember that you have to make careful selections of what is most important in a case, and then develop a coherent, logical way (including useful section titles) to present your arguments using the outline below. Although you may use the guidance questions to help call your attention to interesting phenomena in the case or big issues or upcoming challenges that your recommendations should address, your...

...WHY I’M PASSIONATE ABOUT REAL ESTATE? Return: In most of the markets real estate investments perform better than equities and other asset classes. In emerging markets probably you have to go for development projects, as rental yield is not very attractive. In most of the developed markets real estate has performed better than stock market over time. And by leveraging your investment you can increase your return on equity many folds. Cash flow component in return: This one of the best thing about real estate investments – it behaves like a fixed income security, and with better yield. Rental income makes real estate more attractive even during tough time and many investors love to focus on the cash flow.  Depreciation: You can’t depreciate your stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Depreciation is a gift from the government for real estate investors. Dampening of volatility in the portfolio: Real estate prices don’t fluctuate on daily basis. Fully optimized portfolios with real estate component in it have much lower volatility. Inflation hedge: real estate investments provide a good hedge against inflation. Rents usually increase with inflation, while mortgage payments on the property remain stable. This increases cash flow component. WHY SHOULD YOU NOT INVEST IN REAL ESTATE? Illiquid: Many a times real estate investments behave like illiquid assets. Generally it takes time to execute an actual exit, and liquidity can completely disappear from the market in tough times. Reading Remedial Program

...CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Reading is a way of life. We do reading in our day to day activities, from boarding the bus with the designated signboard to deciphering warning signs in the roads, business letters, and correspondence in the offices schools and even in our own homes. We need reading skills in cooking, reading the labels and instructions and even following directions in using our household gadgets. Reading is a complex process between a reader and a text. (Wedgewood J. 2009). It is simple yet difficult task because it is composed of many interconnected sub-skills that once mastered will make reading flow easily as normal as breathing. As Richard Steele had enunciated, “Reading is to the mind as exercise is to the body.” Another important aspect of Reading is that between the written text and the reader, there should be interaction. This interaction is called comprehension. It is a phase of reading where after decoding the text people react to it. Hence, reading without the concept of understanding is not reading but vocalizing. Putting it simply, reading should have comprehension. Unfortunately, poor comprehension is the prevalent disease of learners today. Thus, the researcher has initiated this action research to show the importance of encouraging the mastery of reading. Make everyone aware of it as an important tool to be incorporated in all subjects. Through this Reading Remedial Program, development of comprehension will be enhanced with activities focusing...
