În vederea evaluarii gradului de stres la nivel managerial s-au realizat contracte de cercetare pe termen lung cu mai multe organizatii, organisme si colective de cercetare autohtone si internationale. Aceasta lucrare are ca obiect de cercetare stresul ocupational la nivel managerial . Lucrarea îsi propune sa urmareasca existenta sau nonexistenta stresului la nivelul grupului IKEA si modul în care acesta influenteaza negativ sau pozitiv sanatatea mentala, sanatatea fizica si nivelul de energie resimtit la locul de munca. Cercetarea s-a efectuat pe un esantion de 14 manageri ce apartin grupului IKEA, aplicându-se testele "Indicatorul de Management al Presiunilor Socioprofesionale" (IMP) si "Indicatorul de Stres Ocupational " (O.S.I.). Aceasta lucrare cauta sa demonstreze ca factorii de stres ocupational determina o scadere a sanatatii mentale si fizice. ...Running head: STRESS EATING AMONG FEMALE COLLEGE STUDENTS “Do Female College Students Eat More than Male College Students when Stressed?” Maxine Mempin and Tresha Mae Torino University of San Carlos, Talamban Campus Cebu City, Philippines Abstract College has been found to be stressful for many young adults (Pierceall and Keim, 2007). This study examines the relationship between academic stress and compulsive eating of college students in the various universities/collages in Cebu City, Philippines. Students (male and female) N = 60 were conveniently sampled in a form of an online survey. Results were gathered by the use of the Compulsive Eating Scale developed by (Kagan & Squires, 1984) and the stressful situations questionnaire SSQ by (Hodges and Fellings, 1970). The results were compared using Carl Pearson, coefficient of correlation (r). There was a medium, positive correlation between the two variables (r=.314, N=60, p=.015), with high levels of academic stress associated with high levels of compulsive eating. Then, an independent-samples t-test was conducted to compare the compulsive eating behavior scores for female and males. There was a significant difference in scores for females (M = 3.7543, SD = .72263) and males [M = 2.9125, SD = .91099; t (58) = 3.965, p = .00]. At the end of the study it was seen that Turkish teachers have mild stress levels and Macedonian teachers have moderate stress levels. There is a meaningful difference in the stress level points of Turkish and Macedonian teachers. Anak usia pra-sekolah biasanya takut akan perpisahan, gelap, orang asing, imaginery beings, dan binatang sedangkan anak usia sekolah biasanya takut akan kemunkinan terluka, kesendirian, gelap, dan binatang. Dalam proses perkembangan normal, anak dapat mengatasi rasa takut itu dengan menggunakan adaptive defense mechanism. Misalnya, setelah mimpi buruk seorang anak mengingatkan dirinya sendiri bahwa itu hanyalah mimpi dan bukan sesuatu yang nyata. Anak juga dapat menilai besaran rasa takutnya terhadap sebuah stimulus tertentu. Misalnya, seorang anak dapat menilai bahwa saat ini stimulus itu terlalu menyebabkan kecemassan sehingga untuk sementara dia tidak akan pergi ke arah stimulus itu. (Wenar & Kerig, 2005) Seorang anak dikatakan memiliki gangguan kecemasan apabila rasa takut tersebut berlebihan dan anak gagal menggunakan defense mechanism untuk mengatasi rasa takut itu.
