The Ultimate Stress Relief Secrets Revealed Guide

The source I chose to use as my first written assignment is a book I have found on kindle books, titled: The Ultimate Stress Relief Secrets Revealed Guide by Jewel O’Connor. This book is a helping reference to identifying stress, noticing stress symptoms, dealing with your stress and relieving stress in various ways. O’Connor points out that most people can’t even define stress. Some state that stress is when people are worried about certain things in their lives, to whereas O’Connor identifies stress as meaning “anything that harms or could harm us and so uses our body’s energy and resources to fight it”. O’Connor explains that the first thing someone needs to do is to identify what the stressors in their life are. Stressors are highly subjective and vary from person to person; one person’s stressor can mean absolutely nothing to another person. But once each individual identifies their own stressors it makes it much easier for them to start noticing the symptoms caused by this stressor. Often people have different reactions to stress. Some people may become tired and irritable, while others have more serious health consequences, such as a weakened immune system, high blood pressure, digestive problems or even as extreme as having psychological problems. O’Connor points out that by being able to identify what symptoms you have, due to stress, may make you be able to deal and relieve your stress quicker before it becomes an uncontrollable condition. Different stressors can lead people in various different directions to deal and relieve their stress. Depending on the stress itself one might feel comfortable with being able to just go for a relaxing weekend away, maybe get a massage, or meditate. Some may need to learn to exercise more, eat healthier or get more sleep. Someone else on the other hand may not be able to divert their attention away from what is causing their stress, so easily. They may need to reach to other types of outside resources, such as speaking to a counselor, or possibly even getting medication from a psychologist.
This book is definitely a helping guide for someone to be able to identify their stress, notice their symptoms on how stress affects them, and also help them make the decision on what is best for them in dealing and coping with stress. The Ultimate Stress Relief Secrets Revealed Guide also helps people realize, that they are not alone with the daily grind of dealing with stress and that stress is a common denominator in everyone’s life regardless of how each and every one of us handles it.
