PROPOSAL
TOPIC: STUDENT ACCOMODATION AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN BABCOCK UNIVERSITY (2011 – 2014)
INTRODUCTION
This study aims to investigate the relationship between student accommodation and their academic performance with the goal of determining the factors relating to their accommodation that affect their performance academically.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY 1. To obtain the general perceptions of students on the effect the accommodation have on their academic performance. 2. To identify the factors that affects their study environments in relations to their academic performance. 3. To proffer some possible solutions to the problems affecting the academic performance of the students due to their study environments.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS i. What are the general perceptions of students on the effect of the accommodation have on their academic performance? ii. What are the factors that affect their study environments in relations to their academic performance? iii. What are the possible solutions to the problems affecting the academic performance of the students due to their study environments.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The findings of this study will help everyone; especially the students in assessing the environments where they live and study, and in addition it has provided information on student assessment of the availability of facilities in helping students in their studies and the quality of live on campus. It was also hoped that the information collected will be useful to the University management in defining their priority areas at the University when preparing and approving the budget of the institution. The information will also help the University management in determining rules and principles on safety, expansion of facilities and effective rules in guiding students’ accommodation.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY This describes in detail the methods of research procedure that would be used in this study. It also consists of the methodology, the kind of data that would be used, the sources of those data, method of collection, and analysis techniques.
