Studying and Working at the same time
Most teenagers in this current generation are balancing various things on top of going to school. One very important thing to people nowadays is being able to earn money and get an education at the same time. It may come easy to some but managing to split your time between two things can cause you a ton of stress in your life. Trying to find time in your life for everything becomes important and a bit stressful. You may not have much time to spend with your family and friends, not enough time to do your homework correctly, and just not enough time for anything. As we all go off to college, here are some tips that could help you manage your time. In our generation nowadays it’s expected of us that we go to school and to a part-time job on the side. The likelihood of us never having to struggle between the two is never going to be a possibility. You will realize that you will start to play a tug of war game with keeping your schedule intact and balancing your daily task. Some disadvantages of going to school and having a part- time job include various items between school and work. In school you can struggle with staying up late to finish your assignments, not getting enough sleep the night before causing your only focus to be on sleeping, you may have a big project you are worried about. When it comes to work you are constantly worried about getting enough hours so you have a nice paycheck, you may have to work long shifts which is causing you to be exhausted when you get home and much more. While looking at the disadvantages you also want to take a glance at some of the advantages that come along with getting an education and keeping that part- time job on the side. I am going to use my life as an example. I work at Sanford Senior Care in the Dietary Department, down in the kitchen and up at Senior Care. I plan on one day becoming a Registered Nurse and then I plan on going to school to become a Pediatrician. The job I obtain now has a big impact on my career because it will help me have that advantage when I further my education. Jobs come with benefits and that benefit may be needed to help you along with things while you are going to school. Even though you may be dependent on a job to pay for your schooling doesn’t mean you need to make it a bigger responsibility over your schooling. There are some solutions you could take to mind to help you balance school and work. One thing you should consider is where most of your time is spent or how you manage it. Try setting up a weekly schedule of everything you have going on in your life, make sure everything has a fair amount of time. Another great goal is setting a goal and at the end if you meet it rewards yourself with a piece of candy or maybe a shopping spree. You should always make sure you have a quiet place away from all distractions; this will help your focus be on one thing and one thing only. Make sure you enjoy the balance between work and study because if you don’t you are going to cause more stress on your body. According to (www.wikihow.com) students who work and study seem to enjoy the best of everything. Within this paper you have found some of the difficulties and the advantages that can come when you are going to school and having a part-time job. Finding the time to balance your activities and your school work doesn’t come easy but there are ways around this. Like I said before you have to have a quiet place to study, reward yourself with a goal if you accomplish it, and make a weekly schedule of everything. When kids have too much free time on their hands they seem not to focus much on their schoolwork and keep too busy with non-prioritized events. The sooner you learn to prioritize your daily schedule, the sooner you learn the best way to manage your time. This would also help your life become less stressful and chaotic.
