...What Have I Learned? Discovering and choosing a online program that fulfills all of my needs was a rigorous yet exciting task. The penn foster clearly emerged as the best choice for me and I, as a great match comparatively with other high school programs. After visiting the website, reading the information pamphlet, and researching the online high school program Web site, I realize that penn foster offers what I hope to gain from my college experience. In return, I will contribute to the penn foster as a person with leadership qualities who takes initiative and enjoys participating in school events. Through this course, I have learned about everything that I need to succeed in my life. Now that I have a clear understanding of the key terms I am ready to answer the question at hand. The knowledge that I have acquired from many different courses dealing with the general cause and principles of things is that I must be clear on my terms. I believe that this is the most important part of succeding. If I attempt to answer this or any other question without a clear understanding of the key terms I might incorrectly analysis the question. I can not deal with the general cause and principles of things if I’m not clear on their exact meaning. I have also acquired knowledge about others personal attitude. ...computer as a knowledge tool is widely recognized. Computers play a central role in all facets of education, as they do in other spheres of life” (Kurzweil, 1999, p. 276). It is now 2006 and Kurzweil’s prediction of the computer being widely recognized as a knowledge tool is ahead of schedule. It is also true that schools are far from being on the cutting edge. Some schools are better than others, but the computer is sorely lacking in the classroom. The writer’s organization is a proprietary art college in Central Florida. The school is part of a large corporation that oversees more than sixty schools across the United States. Thirty one of the schools are art colleges. The art colleges are leaders in using the computer in the classroom. The corporation takes pride in putting high end technology in front of students to produce commercial art work in the form of graphic design, interactive design, digital video and animation. Often students choose the proprietary art college over community college or state university because of the high end computer labs and other technology that the private school has on campus. ...game. There are three articles that try to answer this question, and even go as far as saying whose fault it is. The first author, Dr. Jean M. Twenge, attempt to explain why Generation Me acts this way through the use of data and observations she collected. The second author, Vigen Guroian, uses the means of personal experience of his generation and compares it to his observations. Finally, the last author, Mragaret Morganroth Gullette, takes a strong stance in a feminist viewpoint that makes the text hard to follow and taken seriously. Although all articles have an agreement that this new idea about sex isn’t a wonderful thing, Twenge blames the older generation, while Guroian blames colleges and Gullette blames the media and men. For the most part, I agree with Twenge, however, college and the media play a strong role in the influence of sex, but men aren’t as responsible as Gullette lead on. To summerize, Twenge begins the section with the term “hooking up” as a term used for people that get together, have casual relations, then possibly never see each other again. The next topic Twenge goes to is the shift in general attitudes about sex, for example, the average girl to lose her verginity is 15 as aposed to 18. She puts the entire blame on the baby boomers because of the fact they had quite a lot to do and such a small amout of time to do it in. Twenge goes on about sex isn't even discussed in the household, and when parents...
