Summary of Brackley and the bed

Brackley was the main character of the story. He is a young Tobagonian who has come to London looking for work and he was very sad, and he had not god situasjon. Once he got a letter from his Aunty. She said in the letter that Teena want to come England too.
Brackley don't like she come to England because they was heading for a little married thing, and if his cousin Teena come to England she make botheration, so Brackley decide that write a letter to aunty and say no, no she should not be here but everything was late because Teena had left Tobago for England.
His cousin Teena came to London and Brackley went and brought her to his home, but in the way they had very contention because he don’t like she live in the London and stay with him.
”When they get there Teena take one look at the room and sniff”. She began to clean up the house and cooking for dinner after they eaten dinner, she said to Berkeley he must get a job so he must wake up six o clock morning. He said to Teena that six o clock is very early and people are still sleeping. She get him out early morning; because she want Brackley get a job.
In the midday Berkeley get a work in a café, there he washing dishes and he was realize what was happening to him.
When Brackley get home in the evening he saw that everything was in the house arranged, but he said to she sometimes his friend come to there for a little rummy. He was angry because she take control completely and she said his friend could not come home.
One night when he sleep on the floor he wake up and ask Teena :she want to get married with him and she said yes at the same time Teena said to Brackley no foolishness after married and he must change his ways. Brackley hustle Teena off to the registry office as soon as and all thing was fixed. He just thought to himself how would sleep on the bed after the hard floor and the cold and he would be warm with Teena.
On the way back home from honeymoon, Teena said to Brackley: she write to Aunty that she come to London and living with them in the small rom until she and Aunty get a job too and Teena said to Brackley she can sleep with her until they find another place.
