In 1986, Cesar Chavez gave a speech on the Wrath of Grapes Boycott which is a movement from his union, United Farm Workers. With the goal to force the US government to protect the costumers and farmers, he pointed out to the public that there were many migrant workers and illegal immigrants worked in the poor condition due to the high unemployed rate. The workers had no choice, but to follow any orders for money. Therefore, as Chavez quote from the Environmental Protection Agency, “pesticide residue is being found in a growing number of food” (691). And most of them cause cancer, mutations and birth detect.
