Episodes delves into the life of Blaze Ginsberg, a young man on the autism spectrum. Blaze organizes his memories into "episodes" which are written like journal entries. He discusses his high school experience, especially his freshman year, in great detail. He also writes about the development of his social skills and the circles of friends he creates. His first friendships were with two girls. They made up a trio and as that trio was successful, it serves as a formula for every other friendship he forms as he is always striving to create a perfect trio of friends. He is, more or less, successful in building these groups; however, none of them survive more than a year Family is central to Blaze's personal life. Family connections and feelings
