In chapter four of The Sociologically Examined Life written by Michael Shwalbe, the author’s main point is that relationships are extremely important and our personal choices can cause problems. The author isn’t arguing against another perspective. He is presenting his own theories throughout the reading. Shwalbe goes on to make several points in order to provide evidence for his main argument. The first thing he states is that we aren’t as independent as well all seem to think.
