In The Witch of Blackbird Pond, a young woman by the name of Kit Tyler is found in the town of Wethersfield, Connecticut during the mid-1600s. William’s inheritance of wealth, power, and dignity required respect of several people that would be shared with whoever is wife was to be. This respect given to his wife would be of assistance to Kit Tyler, whose unusual talents and disposition had caused suspicion of witchcraft, and would erase all distrust of her within the town. His inheritance could ultimately earn her a fresh start, relieving Kit of any wrongs or injustices targeted to her as a restarted device can try again to perfect its system.
