The battles are unique in that the player can influence the effectiveness of attacks by performing required controller inputs known as "action commands". ...Mapping the “Super” Supply Chain for Comic Books MKT/421 Introduction The supply chain is a vital part of the economic system as a whole. This system is responsible for the availability of medicine, foods, fuel and other necessary elements of life. But, more importantly the supply chain allows the movement of one of the life's essential items, comic books. This paper will map the supply chain and introduce you to three new comic book superheroes in the process. Each step of the supply chain will be detailed. These steps are manufacturing, distributing and retail (Cohen, 2011). ...Patty and I got to talking about her story of becoming a counselor and my future profession of nursing. After discussing these two topics, we had lunch and then when to her normal office, who she shares with Dave. Another counselor that is awesome at their job, Brian follows them at Sundown. Dave talked about neuropathways, and addiction. Dave seems like he loves to teach, and I am so happy I got to interact with him and Patty today. I also talked to Dave and Patty, about if I could possibly sit in the guy’s group. Dave said he had no problem with me joining, however management might, therefore he wants to talk to them about it. He feels that students should be exposed, to both types of groups, as the dynamics of each groups are different, and something that would be beneficial to see. After talking with Patty and Dave, Brain and I attended the adult lecture. This way one of a very powerful lecture. The lecturer, Mod, is an adult counselor who is awesome, the connection that she made with the audience was incredible. Mod, presented on the topic of priorities. She started off this lecture by having five individuals that were new volunteer and come up to the stage. She then had those individuals write their top five priorities on pieces of paper. She then had each of them introduce themselves, and tell their story. One patient, told the audience that he was an alcoholic, has two children under seven years old, and his wife left him because of his addiction. After these patients, told...

...Favorite Brand Paper Rebecca Lynn Harjo BSHS MKT/421 June 28, 2014 William Alan Mc Intyre Sony’s logo is customarily in block letters with the bottom of the letters slightly faded. Sony also has an additional logo for their PlayStation models; it is a red capital P standing over a yellow, green, and blue striped upper case S lying flat on under the P. Sony’s brand name logo is very recognizable because it is their name, however, I feel that it lacks a certain quality that would promote the brand; there is nothing special about their logo. I think that Sony’s logo for their PlayStations does a superior job promoting the brand because whenever someone sees PlayStations PS logo they immediately recognize it as PlayStation; it is far more eye catching than just the word Sony. The second reason I like Sony is because of VR. There’s something so fantastically science-fiction about the concept of virtual reality. It’s the closest thing we have to jetpacks and hover-boards, those futuristic technologies we watched on TV as kids, and read about in books. And with virtual reality, we’ll be able to finally drive in flying cars and take trips to the moon. Because VR is so steeped in science-fiction, I can’t help but also recall the dire warnings: People lost in alternate worlds, virtual reality junkies, incapable or unwilling to unplug. Perhaps anti-social isn’t even the right word—unsocial, detached, and isolated. When we play games on the TV or our PC or phone, we’re often playing...

...San Mateo, Kristina Marie (.) Ent102 MANILA FAME Reaction Paper Last Sunday, me and my co-entrep students went to MANILA FAME which was held in SMX Convention Center. As I walk through those furniture and handcrafts, I was really amazed on what I saw. I was stunned and really delighted. To think that there`s so much things you can do in an object as long as you have wide imagination and creativity, you can design and even put up a very unique thing that can change the world`s perception in furniture and handicrafts. And in that object you created you can earn a lot of money. In just a simple chair, a very simple chair, you can earn 300,000, just like that. Seriously, it invites people to sit and appreciate the art and the couches with oversized pillows make you want to linger. Those seats look comfortable. The tables I saw are super cool. I also appreciate the bed, the unique clothes made of pineapple, the handicrafts. Very nice. And of course, who wouldn`t notice the chandeliers (can we call it that?) is awesome. The wires are not as noticeable as I thought they would be. I really like the use of the unique couches, how they match the designs. Such a great idea. There certainly is a lot to see. And, I think the large pillows (with the printed animal on it) are pretty. And the chairs, it reminds me of antique stores whose owners place objects on the chairs to discourage customers from sitting on them (usually with good reason). Upon seeing the designs of the chairs, I...

It goes very well with almost any kind of traditional food and serves as a filling tea-time snack. Also, its longer shelf life makes it an ideal face-saver in front of unexpected guests. Roasted rice flour 1 cup Gram flour/Besan 1 cup Red chilly powder 1 tsp + 2 tsp Asafetida ¼ tsp Peanuts 1 cup Chana dal ½ cup Dry red chilly 3-4 nos Curry leaves 3 sprigs Oil 2 TBSP + more for frying Salt as needed Water Preparation In a mixing bowl, add the rice flour, gram flour/besan, salt and 1 tsp red chilly powder. Mix well and drizzle 1 TBSP oil. Combine well and knead this into smooth dough by adding water little by little. It may stick to your hands at first but the oil will help to get smooth dough as you progress with kneading. Set aside. Heat oil for frying in a deep pan. When hot (check by adding a piece of the dough, if it comes to the surface promptly, oil is hot enough), using an idiyappam press (picture shown above), with the small hole mould plate, sieve the dough to hot oil in circular motion, like how you do it for idiyappam. Fry until, it gets a golden color and drain the excess oil onto paper towel. In the same oil,fry some ribbon pakodas with the proper mould plate. Set these aside. Now fry the chana dal until it fetches...

...For my year, there were 4 teaching staff for 4 students – how amazing! And for this reason, the course has a super relaxed atmosphere. A TF (most likely one of the best graduate students in the Betley Lab) will be assigned to you and your teammate, and he or she will guide you through all your reactions. You make good friends with your TF, and learn so much about the daily life of a chemistry graduate student. I cannot thank Liz enough for staying late for us to work up a reaction or helping us take extra NMRs when we ran out of time during class. Austin is phenomenal at teaching: he not only explains concepts extremely well but also gives very good advice on life after Harvard. And Ted will give you very useful insight on your reaction during weekly group meetings or at your midterm/final paper presentations (probably with some Twizzlers in his mouth). At the end of the year we all went out for dinner through the Classroom to Table Program, and it truly felt that the class was a family working together towards learning advanced inorganic laboratory techniques. You will miss, however, Austin, who is moving away, but don’t worry because Ted always chooses the best people to work...

All of the companies in this system sell similar products and must make a strong effort towards product differentiation. Products and services are considered to have a high elasticity...

...The 2001 film “Evolution”, is an entertaining film about an alien species being introduced to earth via meteor. However, this film seems to contain a copious amount scientific inaccuracies. For example, when the meteor is traveling through space, the movie presents the meteor rushing towards Earth with sound. However, space is a vacuum, so there for there would be no sound in space. To continue with the lengthy list, the meteor, after piercing the atmosphere of earth, still remains around the same size, not withering at all through the intense heat and weathering that would occur by doing so. Also, last time I checked, meteors did not contain explosives. I only bring that up because when it impacts, it creates a huge explosion, rather than the dirt or displaced earth that would be sent into the air. Not to mention, the fireman that was there on impact, was obviously still able to drive his car even though the meteor basically destroyed it, I mean, that is totally plausible, right? Now, when David Duchovny and Orlando Jones, who play the role of two college professors, arrive to be the first to investigate the rock, they try to take a sample of the rock to test it. When they break off the piece of rock, it starts to “bleed”. Really, a rock can bleed? Next thing you know, the blood will start transforming into a sentient species! So, after they collect some of the the “blood”, they bring it back to the lab for testing and inspecting. Now, it is my understanding that in order...

It is public transportation friendly, which is awesome possum because 1) parking is expensive and 2) driving around SF is scary with all the hills. Plus, you get to see more of SF if you're not focused on figuring out directions or busy driving because you can simply just stare out the window of the bus to take in its beauty. This daycation itinerary mostly involves lots of walking, public transportation, site seeing, and most imporantly, eating. Our main attraction for this daycation: Lands End, San Francisco, CA (mini hike starting at Sutro Baths and ending at the Labyrinth) Packing List: backpack...

...writing, “Tackling Unconscious Bias in Hiring Practices: The Plight of the Rooney Rule,” is Brian Collins. This piece of writing was published in New York University Law Review in June 2007. “Minorities Coaches Do Not Face Discrimination in Hiring” simply explains what its title says; that minorities coaches do not face discrimination in the hiring process for coaching job. Meanwhile, the two peer-review articles, “Decision Making in Hiring: Intercollegiate Athletics Coaches and Staff” and “Tackling Unconscious Bias in Hiring Practices: The Plight of the Rooney Rule”, explains in greater details that the first article is not true and that minorities experience a lot of difficulties when trying to find a coaching job in sports. Throughout this paper, key terms such as minorities, coaching, and discrimination, will be used a great deal of time as each author explained their beliefs. Even though both sides of this argument are very compelling, there is only one side that I believe in. Although...

...the coach’s smile can mean a lot of things. It could possibly be good news that the team has awesome new freshmen to join next year or bad news, where the coach is retiring his position and making the announcement that Naoi will now be the head coach. Either way, they all want a straightforward answer from their old man. The sound of Yaku smacking the living hell out of Lev was the only sound floating in the room. Coach Nekoma finally lets out a sigh and puts the yellow envelope in front of him. Just like a bunch of cats being curious about new toys, that’s how all the players were. “This…” Nekoma says, holding up the envelope up and again, with a big smile. “We were granted to join the International Volleyball Tournament in the United States!” Instantly, Lev woke up and like a cheetah running to attack its prey, Lev ran to clasp his hands with the coach. “DOES THAT MEAN WE’RE GOING TO TRAVEL AND I CAN SHOW HOW GOOD OF AN ACE I AM?” Lev shrieks. Yaku facepalm himself. “Lev, don’t get yourself worked up. Your skills of blocking are still low. Yaku says as he joins the circle. Lev shoots a death glare to Yaku. “When will you ever praise me?” “When you start being good.” “Do we have to go?” Kenma asks unenthusiastic. For him traveling outside of Japan is a hassle. Practice all day, every day with no free time for video games. Inouka and Yamamoto, on the other hand was super stroke about traveling to the United States.
