Logon Scripts Critique

...Logon Scripts A Technical Writing Critique (A) IT Process Document The IT process document I have chosen is attached as a separate PDF file to this critique and is named "Logon Script Basics". (B1) Intended Audience As someone who works with many levels of computer users, I can say that this process document is not intended for beginners. The document uses many terms and abbreviations that only those experienced with the networking environment or perhaps well-read on the subject would be able to understand. The author is forthcoming about this fact at the very beginning by announcing that the document assumes a basic understanding of Group Policy deployment, which in itself assumes the reader knows of the various terms, tools, and jargon that is utilized in the process outlined. Not only does the document assume that one knows basic deployment with Group Policy, but it also assumes a very basic coding background as well. Normally with code, there are comments written that explain what each line is intending to do. A lot of programmers have their own way of doing things and these comments help another person follow along if the author does not code in a reader-friendly kind of way. Below is a piece of code included by the document's author that gives a basic cookbook formula for writing simple logon scripts, however, it does not at all instruct the user on what each line is doing. Beginners to logon scripts or even coding might find themselves lost even though this is a...
