The Thoughts

any times, a good relationship between friends, family is what really add to the significance of our life.

The impact we have on the relationship or bonds with others is more imporant than any success in our life.
To have a good thought and positive attitude is the most important start when it comes to interpersonal relationship.
We often have say something or act to others that may result in misconception, these misconceptions create barriers to engaging in effective exchange and genuine conversation. Both actions and words can become a double edged sword that stab into others feelings. In this installation, it is created for us to reflect ourselves in this kind of situation which we take time to think and clear our thoughts before we act or say anything that may ruin a perfect relationship. This piece reflects myself as a person, it is important for me to take a chance to change myself to a better communicative person and improve my self­ awareness, self­reflection and self­judgement. The paper bags demonstrate the space for the thoughts of our mind, its the form of self­reflection through isolating yourself from the outside world. It gives everyone an opportunity to wear the bag on their head to reflect themselves before they start to communicate with others. The more self­aware we are, the more able we are to manage our own behaviour and ability to adapt our behaviour to changing circumstances is greater. The hanging chess pieces imply the reflection of life, the game of chess was consciously designed to represent the world of transformations on a restricted field of action. This may as well reflect to my own experiences of changes of my attitudes towards others, the chess pieces mirrors my relationship to others that allows me to reflect back to the inner part of myself. The smaller paper bags on the pawns represent that even the most unobvious actions or words may be the most hurtful ones to the others, which they are the important ones to wear the bag and to aware and reflect themselves. The chess pieces also reflected my weakness of indecisiveness because in the chess theory, once you decide to move one chess piece, you can never regret your decision. By moving the chess piece, its the opportunity to determine the next step for it to place, between that, its the time for us to reflect and take a deep examine of our thoughts and make a good decision.
