If I have all the equipment ready for the switch I would then continue on with what they call the express set up. First thing I would do is verify that no devices are connected to the switch when first initializing the setup the switch will start acting like a DHCP server. Since my network has a static IP address I will change it for the time being to DHCP. Once switch is mounted and I have all my devices prepared for it I will then power it on.
