Synopsis about the Life of Lam-ang* Lam-ang is a man of marvels. In his birth he already spoke and asks her mother, Namongan, to name himself and chose a godfather. He then asks her to where his father, Don Juan Panganiban is. Learning that his father fought the Igorot, he armed himself and head of at the age of less than a day. He then captured the biggest crocodile and carried it on his shoulder. Lam-ang hears of a beautiful maiden named Ines Cannoyon, daughter of the richest man of the town of Kalanutian. He tells his mother of his desire to court the maiden. Although his mother discourages him, he goes anyway, dressed in gold and accompanied by his pet rooster and white dog. The giant sumarang blocks his path and belittles him. Lam-ang easily humbled Sumarang with his strength and hurls him nine hills away.
