The Five Crucial Requirements of Florida’s Constitution:
Section 2: Basic Rights
Article I, §2 of Florida’s Constitution is an essential protection from inequality. These basic rights were set so that every citizen is guaranteed and assured equal protection and equality and that no person shall be deprived these basic rights without due process the right to enjoy and defend life and liberty, to pursue happiness, or even to be rewarded for industry, and to acquire, possess and protect their property because of national origin; or because of physical disabilities.
Section 4. Freedom of Speech and Press.
Article I, §4 of Florida’s Constitution is stating that every person has the right to speak, write and publish their thoughts on any and all subjects with the understanding that they will be held accountable for their speaking’s, writings, and publications meaning that these thoughts and ideas must be proven true in the event any criminal or civil proceedings. This section declares that no law can be put in place that will restrain any person from being able to enact this right as afforded to them within the limitations of the law.
Section 5. Right to assemble.
Article I, §5 of Florida's Constitution is allowing the people the right to peacefully assemble and inform the government of our grievances. Without it we would not be able to inform the government body what we are refuting.
Section 6. Right to Work.
This section of the Constitution is basically stating that the employers must allow employees to work whether or not they join a union or pay any associated union dues. Without this provision in our constitution you could be forced to join any labor organization and could be in constant fear of losing your employment simply because you chose not to join a union and pay the associated union dues.
