The biome I chose was the taiga because it’s cold and it’s very interesting. The animal I chose with in that biome is one the most amazing animals ever which is the Elk. I chose elk because it’s a type of breed of deer but it’s most intriguing from my personal perspective.

The Elks biomes climate is mainly intense cold, especially during the winter in a taiga climate, but it can get moderately warm during summer. The taiga’s climate is found usually in Northern Hemisphere area such as North America, Eurasia (meaning Europe and Asia’s location). But in this case I’m doing it in North America. It’s winter climate is snowy, cold, and long (about 6-7 months), the lowest temperature in the winter was -65 degrees fahrenheit. The highest temperature …show more content…
The amount of sunlight it receives and air. The different forms of precipitation the taiga biome receives such as a liquid and solid because of its climate. Another abiotic factor is the soil that sometimes is stationarily frozen in the ground until it can defrost during the warm season. The biotic elements in the taiga biome is the animals it has for example moose, beaver, elk, vole, eagle, and much more. The habitat of the elk is the high grass, herbaceous plants, forest openings, and snow. Elk live in a extent of a higher elevation and high in the mountains, in their biome their fur does play a role big enough to keep them warm in the very long winter. The elk’s diet is a herbivore meaning they feed off of grass, plants, leaves, and bark the reason they eat these food sources because they have a four chambered stomach. This means they are ruminant, so they chew over again repeatedly. Their niche in the taiga environment is to help keep things stable especially in the taiga biome. Their in the food cycle because they're the prey which are eaten, knowing that they can release diseases and parasites so they kill off anything nearby to that animal. They are animals that become the predators meal. The animals that will hunt elk are bobcats, black bears, coyotes, etc. It has adaptations and it adapts pretty well for being an elk, when they adapt it’s usually to the mountains in the early summer. Another adaptation is their antlers at a point the antlers will fall off, but they will grow back of course. This transition occurs because antlers
