Tamika Catchings is a 10-time WNBA All-Star. Before joining the WNBA, Tamika played basketball for the University of
Tennessee. While she played for that team, she scored more than 2,000 points! And she had more than 1,000 rebounds.
Tamika’s nickname was “Catch.” In 2001, “Catch” started playing for a team called the Indiana Fever. The Fever is one of the 12 teams of the WNBA. Tamika Catchings was a star.
She was good at rebounding the ball. Tamika was also good at blocking and stealing the ball. She also scored points for her team. She played on the U.S. Women’s Olympic team four times. The team won gold medals all four times.
