Tall Tales are short stories that consist of hyperboles, or exaggerations, bigger than life characters, and a problem for the main character to solve. Many tall tales have a film and written version. One example is Slue Foot Sue. The film and written versions have key differences and similarities. The film version of Slue Foot Sue consisted of Pecos Bill, Widowmaker, and Pecos’s friend. Pecos had a horse he named Widowmaker. He didn’t like many people, but Pecos Bill. Especially if someone attempts to take him for a ride. Pecos Bill’s friend attempted a ride with Widowmaker.
