It is an honor to be writing you this letter on my opinion of your Racial Capitalism and Tamir Rice article. After reading your article I was pleased to see that I and your opinions were similar. This is a prime example pf racial capitalism, like you said “it was not enough to blame the young man for his demise”, the city had to sue a grieving mother something that the police were responsible for and that is absurd. But now that I have read your article I would like to point out some key points that I found interesting. “Our lives can be reduced to the clinical sale of dollar amounts and court rulings”. This part stood out a lot to me because this really is the case. Anytime someone is wrongfully convicted of a crime and spend years in prison
