Andy : ah, sok ngajarin lagi lu...
Ade : ya ngg gitu....cuman ngasih saran aja
Andy : biasa...nyari suasana baru..hehe
Vito : kayanya gw liat....lagi akur nih sama si Ade...(senyum)

Andy : biasa lah nih anak...sok ngajarin gw
Vito : widih...ngajarin apaan emangnya..
Andy : dengerin tuh apa kata sahabat gw...Vito (sambil tos)

Andy : urusin tuh temen lu....

Prins : kenapa dengan Ade?

Vito : gini loh, si Ade udah nyuruh sahabat sejati gw buat nyumbangin sisa uang jajannya, ya...Andy ngga mau lah,,

Prins : kaya gitu aja dipermasalahin, niat Ade kan baik sebagai temen, ya..ada baiknya saling mengingatkan

Vito : ah...lu sama aja kaya dia....sukanya ngemis ya..(emosi)

Ade : astagfirullah...sabar (dalam hati)

Prins : oh ia nu...nih ada makanan buat lu
Ade : wah makasih banyak teman....(senyum)

Andy : kalu gitu temen seperti apa dong....(tertawa)

Ade : sudahlan Prins, percuma ngomong sama mereka

Group Task

...Science+Business Media B.V. 2009 Abstract This paper reviews some of the literature on the use of groupwork as a form of assessment in tertiary institutions. It outlines the considerable advantages of groupwork but also its systemic associated problems. In discussing the problems, the paper considers issues such as ‘‘free riding’’ and the ‘‘sucker effect’’, issues associated with ethnic mix in groups, and the social dilemma problem—in which students face conflicting demands between altruism and self-interest. The paper then outlines several models of effective groupwork and makes suggestions for implementing groupwork tasks. The paper also looks at the key assessment tasks which are commonly employed—namely, additive, conjunctive, disjunctive and discretionary tasks—and assesses which are most suited to groupwork. The paper considers the related issues of task complexity, recognition for effort, and strategies for minimising issues concerning group size. The paper also briefly considers strategies for implementing incentives for groupwork members, and outlines the issue of penalties for unproductive group members. The paper concludes by providing recommendations for how to maximise the advantages of groupwork while trying to minimise the disadvantages. Keywords Groupwork Á Assessment Á Free-riding Á Sucker effect Introduction: the advantages of groupwork The importance of groupwork as a form of assessment has long been recognised among educators. Rlt2 Task 3

...Task 3: Ran tests and collected data. (4 hours) Task 3 encompassed running the tests and collecting the data. Parts of this task occurred at the same time as Task 2, and needed to be completed relatively soon after Task 2 had been completed. The lab set up described in Task 2 was utilized, in order to run these tests and to collect the valid data. The ping pong balls prepared in Task 1 were also used at this time. The balls were dropped through a series of two photogates, which were one meter apart. Because reliable and consistent data was obtained by dropping each ball ten times through each photogate, it was not necessary to drop the balls fifty times as previously planned. Thus the test was run 300 times. The photogates collected data...

Classroom Management Task 2

...An in-class activity I would have my students participate in would a warm-up activity for the beginning of the class period. Some of the reasons that I would have my students do a warm-up activity are that it helps get the students to start thinking about the subject and begin to focus on it. This will help the students make their transition mentally from their last class to my class. I would also use the warm-up as a way to set the tone for the upcoming lesson, like a building block to get their thought process going in the right direction for the day. Most importantly, I would use the warm-up to allow myself to assess the student’s attitude and ability for the day to help me determine the best way for to form groups for other activities for the day. A behavioral expectation that I would have for my students for the warm-up activity is that they would have their materials (ex. Pencil and paper) out on their desk ready to begin the warm-up after the bell rings. Another behavioral expectation I would have of my students for the warm-up activity that before they begin the activity, they take time to reflect on the prompts I gave them for the assignment and begin to work quietly and individually. An evaluation method I would use to ensure that my students have an understanding of my behavioral expectations is to have a poster up on my wall that is a reminder of the classroom expectations and pointed out to the students who are not working on the warm-up. The classroom expectations...

Overhead Reduction Task Force

...740.0765 FAX: 213.740.3582 Office Hours: by appt Course Overview GOAL: The goal of this course is to enhance participant understanding of the nature and the processes of effective groups, and what it takes to build and lead them as high performance teams. Teams are an endemic aspect of culture and society. Whether playing sports, singing choir, playing in the orchestra, performing ballet, or parenting, one is engaged in team-based activities. Organizations increasingly rely upon teams as a primary work unit. Whether you are in supply chain management, customer relationship management, marketing and sales, new product development, manufacturing engineering, project management, information systems, cross-functional task forces, or consulting, you will inevitably be solicited to contribute to team-based organizational initiatives. Despite their ubiquity and our collective competence in building and leading sports and performance teams, there is often little understanding of what it takes to build a cohesive and effective work team. Members are assigned, objectives are given, resources (if you’re lucky) are allocated, but beyond that there is scant...

Blacklands

...TASK P6-PART B To: Store Manager From: Charlie Boorman Date: 12th November 2015 Subject: Blacklands Farm Overview of the task Firstly, we decided on doing a Bridge building task. The aim of this task was to build a bridge out of the resources provided. Our bridge had to be strong enough so it could to manage to hold a glue stick and other objects the bridge could hold. We first decided to a draw a plan for the bridge on a piece of paper. We then decided to distribute roles based on the skills certain individuals had. Freddie was the leader of the team; he started by rolling the paper to make pillars to support the bridge. At first we struggled to work as a team so he was the one that got the team focused and on track. Jack then started by building the main part of the bridge, which the glue would balance on. I then started cutting off strips of sellotape which we would use to connect the pillars to the main structure of the bridge. On Wednesday 11th November I attended a trip to Blacklands Farm where we had to work in teams to achieve a certain goal. Before we started the team building activity we had to select a leader, so as a group we decided that Alex would fit the role perfectly. We had to deal with situations in which Communication and teamwork was very important. For example, in the team building task we had were given slabs of wood which had to lay down a path to get from one side to another, but if our we took our foot off one of the slabs then they were taken...

The Myth of Multitasking

...cannot get them all done in eight hours? If you answered yes to any, or all, of these questions then you most likely suffer from the effects of attempting to multitask. The reality of our human world is that we are not physically or mentally capable of completing more than one complex task at a time. Let us start by defining the term multitasking. Merriam-Webster defines multitasking as: “The ability to do several things at the same time.” (1) The American Psychological Association (APA) defines multitasking in a similar fashion, but also adds the term “switch” at the end. The addition of the word switch actually tells us volumes about the true nature of multitasking. Studies show that multitasking is actually the human mind switching from one task to another. (4) In general, the switch takes only fraction of a second to complete. This quick switch gives us the allusion that we are performing more than one task at a time, thus multitasking is accomplished, or so we think. In fact, according to a study conducted in 2001 by Joshua Rubinstein, Jeffrey Evans and David Meyer found that participants lost significant amounts of time as they switched between multiple tasks and lost even more time as the tasks became increasingly complex. (9) Scientists have broken the process down into two stages, first “Goal Setting” and second...

...Accepted Policy Conclusion 1. Current status of the No Late Work Accepted Policy in organizations No Late Work Accepted Policy ‘No Late Work Accepted Policy’ is a plan of action adopted by an institution or an individual in order to make firm the manner in which individuals manage their roles (Jha 22). The major aim of the policy is to ensure that individuals complete a task assigned within a given deadline. The policy has many merits. Primarily, it ensures that an individual keeps time. Thus, time management forms an essential ingredient of the No Late Work Accepted Policy and is particularly crucial in managing an individual’s career, and the improving an individual’s life (Jha 24). The No Late Work Accepted Policy seeks to ensure that individuals remain focused on an assigned role. The primary intention of the No Late Work Accepted Policy is to prohibit individuals from misusing the leniency previously accorded to submission of assigned tasks. Many people treat late tasks as an exceptional occurrence, as a result, many people have developed the habit of procrastination until the assigned task is overdue and the consequences may relate to penalties and minor sufferings (Tagg 8). The policy is beneficial as it exerts pressure on individual to adhere to the deadlines provided. On the other hand, the policy acts as an effective measure to prohibit lateness in submitting...

Business Report

...General Outline for Business Consulting Reports Management 451 Your group’s report will follow a similar format. Sample consulting reports from previous semesters are available in the library on course reserve. I. Cover Page Covers are usually printed on heavy, flexible pieces of paper called “coverstock.” The main reason that “coverstock” is used is so that it can protect the document. The cover should carry the title of the report along with some extra information that will help people who may want to file it for later use. For example, you might want to list the members of the team, show off the company logo, and list the date of the final submission of the report. For more on creating a good title, make sure to carefully review section 3 (Title Page) You can create your cover by preparing your material with a word-processing program. If your computer’s printer won’t print on “coverstock,” you can print it on regular paper, and then photocopy it on heavier paper (Paula Lewis in the EMA office can help you out with this). II. Disclaimer Page A disclaimer is a statement that the company or organization hopes will limit its liability for the product or service it provides (as your instructors, we certainly do not want to be held responsible for any bad advice or research you provide your clients ☺ ). The disclaimer statement is fairly typical in consulting projects, and if nothing else reflects the seriousness of writing at a professional level...
