Tda 2.2 Explain How To Support Professional Development

As HLTA and as part of our professional development we need to observe how the teacher delivers a lesson in front the whole class. We need to put in mind what will be our personal objectives and points that we are going to observe and to keep records of how there have been covered.
Following the observation cycle we can outline four main steps which a linked together in an order to support future learning development. These steps are Observation, Assessment, Planning and Put in Practice.
Looking at the first one we can describe it as a process of watching and listening to children’s and young people behaviour and learning progress in class and how the teacher plans and delivers effectively the lesson to reach the set up targets and following the National Curriculum. …show more content…
Some of these skills are Looking, which means how we watch the teacher and the children as a individuals, what kind of emotions flows in them during a lesson and how they manage them, then Listening, which means to examine how teacher and children interact each other. On the other hand we can outline Recording, which means to make notes and to record the key points in each particular observation, then Being Objective, which means to be able to understand if some of the children or young people need special support. Last but not least we can point out Questioning and Thinking. Questioning is the ability to ask adequate and suitable questions which would confirm or clarify, or reject some of the ideas we gain after appropriate observation. Thinking is the process of evaluation of what we have seen which direct us to make a relevant assessment and further useful

The substantial focus is on the demographic development of Germany, all data refer to this country. The main reason for this focus on a single country is that we want to show how the tools of demography can actually be used for the analysis of demographic problems. The text consists of two parts. Part I introduces the conceptual framework and explains basic statistical notions. This part also includes a short chapter that explains how we speak of “models” and why we do not make a sharp distinction between “describing” and “modeling” demographic processes. Then follows Part II that deals with data and methods. In the present version of the text, we almost exclusively discuss mortality and fertility data; migration is only mentioned in Chapter 6 and briefly considered in the context of a Leslie model at the end of the text. In addition to providing a general introduction to concepts of demography, the text also intends to show how to practically work with demographic data. We therefore extensively document all the data used and explain the statistical calculations in detail. In fact, most of these calculations are quite simple; the only exception is the discussion of Leslie models in Chapters 17 and 18 which requires some knowledge of matrix algebra.
