...Associate Level Material Appendix D Research Plan As part of your research plan, you must first draft a research question for your research paper that will guide the rest of your writing. A research question, which is more specific and focused than a general topic, is the question that your research paper will be answering. For example, if your general area of interest is social security, a possible research question might ask “How can low-income families save more money if the United States had a reformed social security plan that includes personal retirement accounts?” As you develop a research question, keep in mind that you will need to research sources to support your topic. Do not pick a one-sided question that will limit your research. Instead, develop a research question that lends itself to further exploration and debate—a question for which you genuinely want to know the answer. Try to pick a research question that is neither too broad, which covers too much, or too narrow, which covers too little. It should be broad enough to be discussed in a short research paper. |What is your general topic or area of interest? |I want to look deeper into the percentage of teen pregnancy now | | |versus back then. | |What is it about your general topic of interest that interests |I have a lot of friends that are teen moms. ...the grade boundaries for our modular Edexcel GCE AS and A levels and Applied GCE qualifications. For each set of grade boundaries, the maximum number of available marks is also shown. For individual units, maximum marks and boundaries are shown for both the raw and uniform (UMS) mark scales. Maximum marks and grade boundaries for the overall qualification (the ‘cash-in’) are only shown in UMS marks. Where grade boundaries are greyed out for a particular unit, there are no grade boundaries available. This may be because: the unit was not available in this exam session ● no one took the unit in this exam session. ● Some units have more than one set of grade boundaries because more than one version of the paper was taken. Where the paper title is followed by “Paper 01R”, the paper was sat in countries more than 5 hours ahead of the UK. Definition of terms A grade boundary is the minimum mark at which a letter grade can be achieved. For example, if the grade boundary for a B is 60 marks, then 60 is the minimum mark at which a B can be achieved. A mark of 59 would therefore be a C grade. For modular qualifications, assessments can be taken in various exam sessions throughout the duration of the course. For linear qualifications, all assessments must be taken in the same exam session. A raw mark is the actual mark awarded by the teacher or examiner for an assessment. Raw mark scores can be downloaded by Exams Officers from Edexcel Online. Raw marks are converted to UMS marks for all...

In this Sr Paper you must determine the state of the art based on your Literature Review. Then you will give the background of the problem and discuss it. This must all lead to two Courses of Action (COAs; solutions) that are tied to your title and problem. You need a “product” such as a process, a plan, a strategy, a program – something that can be recommended and implemented. Problem Statement (if not finalized post a draft – focus on the "pain.") The problem is that after initial training employees are not being reviewed for current performance. Suggest that after this initial statement you add something more about the problem. Brief Topic Overview The casino is experiencing a high turnover rate of employees because after their initial training they are put on the floor without any further review. In the handbook employees are supposed to have a review after 90 days but they are not being implemented. This leaves the casino with under qualified employees that eventually terminate their employment due to not feeling able to meet the high demands. Drug Trafficking

...decided to do my research paper on drug trafficking methamphetamine in the United States. I chose this topic for two reasons, one because I have had a history of drug trafficking methamphetamines myself and another reason is because I am currently working on my BA in applied behavioral science to further my career in substance abuse counseling. A little bit about methamphetamines being transported from Mexico to the United States is DEA (drug enforcement administration) is trying to put a stop to Americans transporting drugs from Mexico to the United States. And with the DEA doing this Americans think that it would be safer to make methamphetamines in their own homes instead of taking the chance transporting the drugs from one state to another. So I plan on doing my research paper along the lines of the DEA cracking down on Americans transporting methamphetamines and Americans making or “cooking” methamphetamines in their homes, otherwise known as “meth labs”. My hypothesis is that Mexico is the major supplier to the United States for methamphetamines and many Americans are going to Mexico to get methamphetamines and transporting the drugs back to their city to distribute the drug to make money. After doing some research on the topic I found that “DEA has concluded that Mexico has become this country’s primary source of a category of drugs now flooding it”. (Interiano, 2008) Also I found from another source that “Mexico-based groups are now believed to control 70%-90% of methamphetamine...

Financial Economics

...‘This Time is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Folly’ (2011) and their working papers. Section II is to evaluate and counter critically toward their argument. Also, a conclusion will be drawn after these two sections. 2.Section I The basic idea that Carmen M. Reinhart and Kenneth S. Rogoff suggests is that what happened in 2007 and 2008 was nothing different from previous financial crisis. They consider financial crisis can be traced by past experience from different countries around the world as usual. Their book and working papers introduce massive historical database which have constructed to study the debt (both external and internal), banking crisis, inflation, currency crashes and so forth. There are sixty-six countries included in the data, such as Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, North America, and Oceania (Reinhart and Rogoff, 2008). They studied various types of financial crises, however, the book mainly includes sovereign defaults and banking crises as these two forms of crises are particularly relevant to modern society. They covered government debt defaults in eight centuries all over the world as the title of the book. Basically, their views in term of the financial crisis in 2007 and 2008 are that the U.S Subprime Meltdown and the so-called ‘ The Second Great Contraction’ was inevitable. They criticized that if the policy markers could do some research on the recent history of financial crises, then the whole society might have some protection...
