Whatever these responsibilities may be, when an individual makes it their duty to accomplish a specific goal it makes them want to strive harder to achieve these goals, whether it be academically making it your responsibility to turn in a project or complete a homework assignment. Or even in a professional atmosphere by setting a standard for ones self to accomplish specific tasks, Personal responsibility helps us in our personal and professional lives to require that we hold ourselves to a certain standard that includes successful accomplishments and it is what makes us responsible individuals in our lives. In an academic setting the personal responsibility that we choose to align ourselves with is very important in relation to college success. This is all the same with negotiation, either is to negotiate a divorces decree, price of a new home, or a NFL or NBA contract deal. The world today is full of negotiating situation in and can be executed at any given time. There two common characteristic of a negotiation or bargaining situation. Negotiating parties have separate but conflicting interest. For example, a homeowner may want to sell their house at the highest price possible. While the buyer want to pay as little as possible for the home. An employee may desire a raise, while the manger will want to give as little raise as possible in order to keep expenses down. In all negotiation there is always a purpose, gain or lost in every transaction. There is strategy and sometimes deception involve with negotiations. Concealment and honesty is a few aspect of negotiation. People in a negotiation will conceal goals and feeling in order to enhance their own opportunity to make the best deal possible.
