Aria leaned against the bar of the tavern, the bartender was cleaning out some glasses. Aria took a shot of rum and swallowed and let an "Ahhh..." she looked over watching Tibet flirt with Aalia. The woman was pretty, her eyes and hair was dark, it was braided but some of it hung loosely, she wore an old dress, tattered and torn, but it looked good on her. Aria smiled at the two and she quickly felt someone someone's on eyes on her. She called the bartender over quickly for some more rum and he came over and filled her small cup. She took a small sip and she figured out who was watching her it was an officer. The officer kept looking all around, he was tense from how he was walking he motioned the bartender over and the bartender frowned and …show more content…
"None of your own damned business lass..." he growled, Aria frowned and pulled out her pouch money. She poured a good handful into her palm, and she slapped it down onto the table and pushed it to the bartender. Aria removed her hand and the bartender grinned. "Ah you got me friend." The bartender replied and looked to Aria. "He is an officer from France. Him and his crew are taking a prince over to Spain to make some ties I heard..." The bartender stopped and Aria raised a brow and he shrugged. Aria pursed her lips and she poured him some more gold on the table and he held a bigger grin. "The prince's father just recently died from certain causes...I'm not really for sure myself. Word from other countries don't spread that much...but that officer is transporting the Prince to Spain. To make an alliance. It's going to be a long trip and that officer more than once had his crew turn against him. So to make them happy he has brought lots of supplies. They are leaving in a few hours, they are going to go by the Crystal Coast first to pick up the lad and go right past the Dagger Pass, and drop him off at Glass Port."

"Lots of supplies worth stealing." Aria nodded at him, grinning and the bartender in turn nodded with a grin of his own. "Aye lad...here is some more coin to keep your mouth shut...aye?" "Aye." The man smiled back to Aria which she now noticed his teeth were yellowed badly and two were missing. Aria pushed the rest of the gold to him and she turned to Tibet who was sitting at a table with Aalia. "Tibet." Aria replied walking over. "Aye?" "I got us a new lead...and it's a big one. Round up the crew...this is going to be a big score." She grinned. "Aye Captain. I'll get

Psy100 Outcome Essay

...Outcome Assessment Essay After reading this fictional narrative, there are several concepts that were identified relating to psychology. One of these concepts is decision making. Making decision involves weighing out the options and maximizing the best alternative. Alan seemed to be content with his job and have an established family, but at the same time willing to explore different avenues. He had to make a difficult choice; rather to continue with his stable job or take a chance with a new company. Stress became to play apart not only with Alan, but upon his family as well. After realizing that his decision may have not been the best one, he sees that this new job has become more of a burden. This was one of the many life events that can lead to stress. Stress is a response to events that disrupts, threatens our physical or psychological functioning. Work-related stress is caused by Alan’s job obligations, which prevents him from spending the time he used to with his family. The behavioral approach shows how the people who know Alan can see the change in his behavior since he has taken this new position. The cognitive approach focuses on the way Alan thinks, which provokes his actions and responses towards his family. Betty, Alan’s wife, thinks that he is directing his work-related anger toward her. In psychology, this defense mechanism is referred to as displacement. The bartender at O'Hooley's Bar & Grill took the humanistic approach. He's trying to get Alan...

In Cold Blood Pdf

...In Cold Blood Truman Capote I. The Last to See Them Alive The village of Holcomb stands on the high wheat plains of western Kansas, a lonesome area that other Kansans call "out there." Some seventy miles east of the Colorado border, the countryside, with its hard blue skies and desert-clear air, has an atmosphere that is rather more Far West than Middle West. The local accent is barbed with a prairie twang, a ranch-hand nasalness, and the men, many of them, wear narrow frontier trousers, Stetsons, and high-heeled boots with pointed toes. The land is flat, and the views are awesomely extensive; horses, herds of cattle, a white cluster of grain elevators rising as gracefully as Greek temples are visible long before a traveler reaches them. Holcomb, too, can be seen from great distances. Not that there's much to see simply an aimless congregation of buildings divided in the center by the main-line tracks of the Santa Fe Rail-road, a haphazard hamlet bounded on the south by a brown stretch of the Arkansas (pronounced "Ar-kan-sas") River, on the north by a highway, Route 50, and on the east and west by prairie lands and wheat fields. After rain, or when snowfalls thaw, the streets, unnamed, unshaded, unpaved, turn from the thickest dust into the direst mud. At one end of the town stands a stark old stucco structure, the roof of which supports an electric sign - dance - but the dancing has ceased and the advertisement has been dark for several years. Nearby is another building...
