I am reading “The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant”W.D Wetherell
The story is about a boy who is trying to impress this girl and get her to go out with him but she doesn’t like fishing so he has to choose the girl or fishing. In this journal I will be questioning and evaluating

1G what will he choose? 1Y Sheila 2-3R likes her 2-3R watches her 2-3R tries to impress 1Y Bass 2-3R fishing fav hobby 2-3R biggest fish 2-3R focus on fish
1G In conclusion I think he will choose the bass

I wonder if the narrator will choose the bass or Sheila. I think that the boy will choose Sheila, one reason I think he’ll choose Sheila because he likes how beautiful she is. He loves her freckles and that …show more content…
Another reason I think he’ll choose Sheila is because he tries to impress her, he tries to impress her by doing flipps and dives of the diving board. He tries to impress her with his knowledge about bass fishing. He tries to impress her by doing laps around the lake so she can see how beautiful his flutter kick is. The third reason why I think he’ll choose Sheila is because he watches her. He watches her so much that he knows all of her moods by the way she sits. He knows that she loves to play softball because her watches hr and her friends play in their yard. Another option he could choose would be the bass. One reason he might choose the bass is because it’s one of his favorite hobbies. He always practices his casting in the front yard. He never leaves without his fishing rod in hand or on canoe. He spends most of his time on fishing because he loves it. Another reason he might choose the bass is because he hooked one of the biggest bass he has ever hooked when he was on his date …show more content…
My first word to describe her is thoughtless. Sheila is thoughtless because she only talks about herself doesn’t even take the time to let him talk to see if they have the same interests. Sheila just talk all about how hard it is for her to get her legs tan doesn’t even consider the he doesn’t care.Sheila doesn’t try new experiences she just shot down fishing she didn’t even try it before saying she didn’t like it. Sheila doesn’t even try to see if she’ll like learning about fishing just turns him down right away. Sheila doesn’t even try to get to know him because she just keeps talking about herself. Sheila doesn’t even try to see if he likes some of the activities she likes or if she likes some of the activities he likes. The second word i use to describe Sheila is oblivious. Sheilas oblivious because she doesn’t realize that he likes her and wants to go out with her. She’s oblivious because she never realizes that he’s asking her out and hitting on her. She doesn’t pay attention when she’s playing softball she just let the ball go right over her head. She doesn’t even realize that the ball was hit until the ball was over her head. Sheilas oblivious because she doesn’t notice that he’s stalking her and knows all her moods. Sheilas oblivious to the guys on the lake hitting on her as they row away in their row boat. In conclusion Sheila is thoughtless and oblivious. I think I should get a 8.5/10 because I think I had really great evidence in
