...is only broken by a single purpose: to tell an ignorant world the truth it must hear. While reading A Long Way Gone and The Bite of the Mango, readers are shocked and tempted to turn away, exemplifying the most nauseating form of ignorance. Most readers have never heard of this war in Sierra Leone. Some are unaware even of the existence of Sierra Leone. Each country lives enclosed in bubble, neglecting the destruction of its neighbor. Zia, a journalist who writes about the war in Afghanistan (where children are similarly being forced into battle), describes the permanent psychological effects of worldwide ignorance. “Morally, the experience of indifference from the surrounding world, or worse still, malevolence may cause children to suffer loss of meaning in the construction of themselves in their world” (Zia Para. 11). Children are being taught to shoot a gun before they are taught to read and innocent families are being slaughtered; yet citizens in countries like America, who know an hour after Kim Kardashian dyes her hair, remain repulsively ignorant to this. If more people were aware of the terror the children faced in the Sierra Leone war, UNICEF might have had the resources to rescue and rehabilitate thousands of more children. Although disengaging from reality was Ishmael Beah’s only means of survival, both A Long Way Gone and The Bite of the Mango serve as shocking wake up calls, reminding the world that the only way to break this chain of ignorance is with awareness. Denial...

Southeast Asian countries, specifically Philippines are eventually tackling problems about diseases carried by the mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are the tiny insects far more nefarious than snakes or any other creature encountered in the wild. The World Health Organization estimates that approximately 20,000 people die per year due to snakebite, but malaria - delivered by mosquitoes -kills more than fifty times that number of people annually. Add other mosquito-borne illnesses to the threat and suddenly humans appear to be losing the battle. (World Health Organization 2006) But with the mosquito coils, mosquito bites are now less problem in our sleep time during at night, it contributes also to the prevention campaign of diseases carried by mosquitoes. In the Philippines there are different manufacturers of quality mosquito coils, and one of them is the Greencoil Industries Inc., only Greencoil’s Lion-Tiger brand and its related brands remain in the market to compete with SC Johnson’s imported Baygon brand. ...“COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN BRITANIA & PARLE - G BISCUIT” INTRODUCTION [pic] Biscuit is a kind of crisp, dry bread product that, if leavened, is usually made with a chemical leavener. The exact meaning varies markedly in different parts of the world. The origin of the word "biscuit" is from Latin via Middle French and means "cooked twice," hence biscotti in Medieval Italian (similar to the German Zwieback, and still present in Dutch "beschuit"). In modern Italian usage the term biscotti is used to refer to any type of cookie or cracker. Some of the original biscuits were British naval hard tack; such hard tack was made in the United States through the 19th century. Throughout most of the world, the term biscuit still means a hard, crisp, brittle bread, except in the USA and Canada, where it now denotes a softer bread product baked only once. Biscuits derive its name from a French word meaning twice backed bread; Biscuits in general have a good shelf life, which is higher than all other snack items available in the market. A biscuit is a hard baked sweet or savory product like a small, flat cake, which in North America may be called a "cookie" or "cracker". The term biscuit also applies to sandwich-type biscuits, where a layer of 'cream' or icing is sandwiched between two biscuits. In the UK, "cookie" is usually only used in specific terms such as "chocolate chip cookie" or to refer to larger, softer...

...inviting. Today fine dining can be in any type of setting and provide feature a wide variety of cuisine. Standards you should always include in fine dining are fine china, glassware and flatware (absolutely no paper, plastic, or Styrofoam). While tablecloths are hard to escape in fine dining, the rest of the atmosphere is up to your creativity. We can take the traditional route, with silver candelabras and Rose centerpieces, or go for hip and trendy with a bold color scheme and modern furnishings. Music playing subtly in the background should reflect your theme, such as classical for a traditional fine dining restaurant or jazz tunes for something modern. Lighting should also be subtle, leaning toward dim but romantic. ...CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF THE STUDY A. Introduction Organizing a business, needs a thorough investigation and research. A Feasibility study is the most efficient one for it examines and ponders all aspects of the business. Pizza, as we know it today is a bread crust covered with a tomato base and then flavored with other toppings. Most of us think of pizza as an Italian food and most of us are right. The word "pizza" means "pie" and is a derivative of the Roman term "picea". The Italians were also the first to use tomatoes on their pizzas. The real explosion in the popularity of pizza took place in the 1094’s; during WWI U.S. troops stationed in Italy had their first taste of pizza. When they arrive home they brought with them an appreciation for this great tasting food, and the growth of the U.S. pizza consumption began and today pizza is one of the most favorite food of many Filipinos, according to European nutrition research on the eating habits of people with cancer of the mouth, esophagus, throat or colon, showed those who ate pizza at least once a week had less chance of developing cancer. B. Name and Location of the Firm A business name is one of the most essential things to be prepared in starting a business. PIZZAPA came from the words, pizza and pasta which serve as the specialty of our business. Aside from that the reason why we choose that name “PIZZAPA” because it is originated from the word “Pizza pa” (pizza + isa pa = PIZAPA) so that customers...
