According to the American actress, Sara Ramirez, who plays fictional character, Callie Torres from the medical drama television series Grey’s Anatomy, had once described an ending of a relationship as “You didn’t love her. You just didn’t want to be alone. Or maybe, maybe she was good for your ego. Or maybe she made you feel better about your miserable life, but you didn’t love her, because you don’t destroy the person that you love.” In relating to the Bradfield Case, Susan J Myers, 40 year old, Upper Merion High School teacher and Bradfield’s former lover. Myers mentions to the jury after her testimony, she reveals, “I still have feelings for him.” From what learned about from the case study that William S Bradfield had always had a strange …show more content…
From my personal understanding, because in my eyes, I feel that she knew what was going with Bradfield behind her back when he was “researching poetry.” Too add, we need to remember that they did live together for a few years and did travel with one another but she noticed that when returned from Europe, she tell the jury that,” “I became unhappy when we returned from Europe…He became involved with [Reinert, Zieger, Aitkens].” She starting acting strange but she also noticed the little details that Bradfield may have known. Too add, I also feel that with use of Hofested Five Cultural Dimensions: Individualism and Collective, I’ve noticed that as an individual, the jury is able to see the little details such as Received typewriter from Bradfield as a birthday present to the idea Was in Cap May with Bradfield/Myers/Valaitis weekend of killing she wanted to take polygraph test for alibi. Just like how in my discussion I had brought up quote from Lawrence W. Reed, the president of the Foundation for Economic Education describes Individualism and Collectivism as, “I think of it as the difference between snowstorms and snowflakes. A collectivist sees humanity as a snowstorm, and that’s as up-close as he gets if he’s consistent. An individualist sees the storm, too, but is immediately drawn to the uniqueness of each snowflake that composes it.” We

...University Journal of Experimental Psychology This article was mainly about eye witnesses and the many errors they make in recalling a situation or describing a culprit whether they are asked immediately or after a period of time. In this study, witnesses viewed a crime video and attempted to identify the culprit from a group line-up that did not actually have the culprit present. 253 mistaken-identification eyewitnesses were randomly given confirming, disconfirming, or no feedback regarding their description of the culprit or the culprit’s identification. The feedback process was either immediate or delayed for 48 hours, and measures were also immediate or delayed for 48 hours. It was shown that those who were given confirming feedback gave more distorted information. They had increased confidence in remembering what had happened, were able to make out facial details and their length of time to identify the culprit changed. There was also no difference in their statements when they were asked immediately or after 48 hours. Those who received disconfirming feedback were not so confident and took longer time to identify the culprit. The writers argue that the focus on identification itself, especially in court cases, does not factor in the influence that postidentification suggestions have on the testimony of the eyewitness that might later be given about the identification. ...Introduction People are social beings. Our acquaintances beget both benefits and consequences. Interpersonal conflict arising from supervisors, colleagues, and client interactions is a form of stress commonly found at work (Kuhns, 2008). Recently, increasing interest has sparked research towards abusive supervision and its negative consequences. Empirical research has found that abusive supervision leads to increased turnover, less favorable attitudes, increased conflict between relationships, and lower in-role and extra-role behaviors (Tepper, 2000). Abusive supervision is a “subordinate’s perception of the extent to which their supervisors engage in the sustained display of hostile verbal and nonverbal behaviors, excluding physical contact” (Tepper, 2000, p. 178).  It is considered a form of counterproductive workplace behavior which is opposite to the organization’s interests (Hoobler & Brass, 2006). Abusive supervision is perceptual in nature and based on an individual’s subjective assessment (Tepper, 2001). That is, some individuals may view their supervisor’s behavior as abusive in one situation and non abusive in another. Furthermore, two subordinates may differ in their assessment of a common supervisor’s actions. When confronted with abusive supervisory behaviors, subordinates may be unwilling to admit that they have experienced abusive supervision by their supervisors, while others may exaggerate their supervisor’s hostility.
