The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is America’s Agency that fights disease, illness, epidemic and endemic outbreaks. It is like the Homeland Security of health in America. The mission of CDC is stated on their website and it states: works 24/7 to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. When there is an outbreak, CDC springs to action and finds tries to stop the spread of the disease, find out what it is and why it started and how to prevent it from happening again.
