The Chrysalids is an engaging story written by John Wyndham that almost immediately pulls you into David`s post-apocalyptic world. The narrator for the majority and climax of the novel is David, a character easily relatable because of his similar age and understandable motivations. Important locations are described from a child or teenager`s point of view, telling all the necessary details without being too confusing or difficult to understand.
