According to Damon Beres in “The Common App Fallacy” "Truth is college applications are crapshoot in this day and age" (Beres 79). he is telling us the process to enter to a University and to a college, and what they check to see if you can get into that specific school. For example, they would look at your GPA and most of the student's would have to do an SAT to check what classes does he or she needs for the career that the student is looking for. Beres tells us his experience, he was one out of 11,000 out of 34,000 students to join the New York University freshman class (79). The more A+ plus you have, the better it is if not you can not get into that college or University, Some people that are smart don’t get the opportunity to have their career the way they want to and the opportunity to go to the school they want to or they deserved because they don’t have the spot at college that they want to go and they don’t have the GPA that it’s needed. There are some things where you can go easy, but there are others where not really. For example, in VVC they don’t have enough space for students. So what they have to do is to drive all the way to down the hill because there’s not enough spots. They should give opportunities to all the people so they can have a better future. It is true that they check on the SAT to see what classes, that student might need for his or her future classes. In my experience I had to take an SAT test when I was in high school it was of English and Math. From there I had to go to college and they would tell me what English class and math class I had to take. The next step was to go to a counselor and tell him or her the career I want to get into.
