Peace for the World Teen activists are conscientious, ambitious, and adaptable people. These are the kind of people who are not afraid to stand up for their beliefs, and they always try to inspire others. Teen activists want to make a difference in the world, and they will never give up until they reach their goals. We need more people like this in the world to inspire us to do something wonderful and helpful to our world. Malala Yousafzai is conscientious for the what she does for others. On The Daily Show Youtube, Malala says, “‘If you hit a Talib with your shoe, then there would be no difference between you and the Talib. You must not treat others that much with cruelty, and that much harshly. You must fight others, but through peace and through dialogue, and through education.’” This quote shows that Malala is conscientious because she knew this would be the right thing to do if the situation occurred. This 19 year old girl believes in fighting through peace, and not through harshness. Malala is inspired by her father, who believes in girls’ rights to education. She believes in equality, and that there is no difference between a man and a woman. The PDF “Iqbal Masih” claims, “‘he was called in one day from play and sent by his parents to work off a loan (about $20 US) they got from a rug-maker in order to pay for their elder son’s wedding.’” This happened when he was only four years old. This quote shows that Iqbal was adaptable because he went straight to the job by his parents, not just anyone. Iqbal started his labor right away. For his first year of labor, he was not paid at all. After this, the 20 cents he was “paid” each day was subtracted from the money he owed, which at first was about 12 US Dollars, but it started to grow. When he was ten years old, Iqbal’s loan had grown to about 260 US Dollars. Iqbal had adapted to the situation quickly. Some children remain in debt-bondage for life. Iqbal was not among these children. He found the papers that he would use to set him free with the help of Bonded Labor Liberation Front, or BLLF, an organization to help kids like Iqbal.
