I. Introduction
Recently, we’ve noticed that students spend most of their time doing recreational activities. They are convinced that we should enjoy the last days of our high school life. This research will help understand the connection between their temptations—internet, social-networking sites, TV, movies, and music—and their studies.

II. The Statement of the Problem
Our focus is about the study habits of the students of SLCV—particularly of St. Vincent. We noticed that they are always out to entertain themselves, and that usually concerns the amount of allowance they are given. We want to know: How are the grades they receive when they don’t really spend a certain amount of time studying? How much allowance do they receive? Where do students spend their allowance? These are the questions we want to answer through our research.

III. The Significance of the Study
A majority in our community are unemployed. Those are usually the ones who went easy along when they were in their last years of schooling. This research will help in pointing out the students who will need more focus in their grades, and in the process, discover new methods of motivation for them to better discipline themselves into putting more work into their studies.

IV. Theoretical Framework
Some of the theories we based this research on: The first is, we observe that students are convinced that since they have made it to the graduation year that they will actually be graduating. They believe that since they will be leaving, things will be much easier. Another theory is that the students are probably overconfident of what they can do. They think they already know everything, so

Eva Ibbotson - a Company of Swans

...A Company of Swans Chapter One There was no lovelier view in England, Harriet knew this. To her right, the soaring towers of King's College Chapel and the immaculate lawns sloping down to the river's edge; to her left, the blue and gold of the scillas and daffodils splashed in rich abundance between the trees of the Fellows' Gardens. Yet as she leaned over the stone parapet of the bridge on which she stood, her face was pensive and her feet— and this was unusual in the daughter of a professor of classics in the year 1912— were folded in the fifth position. She was a thin girl, brown-haired and brown-eyed, whose gravity and gentleness could not always conceal her questing spirit and eagerness for life. Sensibly dressed in a blue caped coat and tarn o'shanter bought to last, a leather music case propped against the wall beside her, she was a familiar figure to the passers-by: to ancient Dr. Ferguson, tottering across the willow-fringed bridge in inner pursuit of an errant Indo-Germanic verb; to a gardener trimming the edges of the grass, who raised his cap to her. Professor Morton's clever daughter; Miss Morton's biddable niece. To grow up in Cambridge was to be fortunate indeed. To be able to look at this marvelous city each day was a blessing of which one should never tire. Harriet, crumbling bread into the water for the world's most blase ducks, had told herself this again and again. But it is not cities which make the destinies of eighteen-year-old girls, it is people— and...
