...Joseph Atchley Mrs. B Jones English 102 9/21/15 Last Breath of Innocence Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury Othello is a respected Venetian general who is manipulated by his subordinate Iago into believing that his newlywed wife Desdemona was unfaithful to him. Iago then aides him in plotting the execution of his wife and her supposed lover Cassio, whom are both innocent. In their plan Iago is tasked with dispatching Cassio, while Othello takes the responsibility of extinguishing Desdemona’s light. Leading up to the night of the murder I will show examples of the premeditated, intentional, and deliberate actions on the part of Othello. Although he is manipulated in the belief that Cassio and his wife are having an affair, it is ultimately his decision to have them both killed for their alleged crimes. Othello is guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt for the first degree murder of his innocent wife Desdemona. While concealed Othello observes Iago elicit a pseudo guilty confession from Cassio, then shortly after, Bianca (Cassio’s actual lover) enters the room and questions Cassio about the strawberry laden handkerchief (the gift from Othello to Desdemona). This evidence convinces Othello of his wife’s adultery. Armed with this skewed evidence Othello becomes enraged and responds to Iago saying, “Aye, Let her rot, and perish, and be damned tonight, for she shall not live...” (4.1.169-70). Othello later adds, “I will chop her into messes…” (4.1.183). He then demands of Iago, “Get...

It was published on July 18,2017 and it is an non- fiction chemistry book. There is a lot of people that don’t understand what’s in all the air around us, and this book explains the history of our air in a way that people can understand what it is that we breathe everyday. I was one of the ones that didn’t know what is in the air or how long it could stay there in the atmosphere and we could rebreathe the same air that people from hundreds of years ago took in. It’s explains how and when each of the gas molecules found in the atmosphere and air were discovered and by who. I always thought that...

...circulatory pump. It takes in deoxygenated blood through the veins and delivers it to the lungs for oxygenation before pumping it into the various arteries. The condition marked by the heart’s inability to pump enough blood to the rest of the body is called a heart failure, although it is generally long term or chronic, it may have a sudden onset. In the case study presented here the client complains: “I have shortness of breath, fatigue, cough, and swelling in feet”. Based on the above information during the initial interview the examiner will collect an additional subjective data in order to gain in depth understanding of what is the cause of the exhibited symptoms, and to rule out certain issues. Subjective data: 1) Dyspnea. (Shortness of breath) What kind of activities and amounts bring on shortness of breath. Did these activities bring the shortness of breath 6 months ago? Does shortness of breath come on suddenly? Is it constant or comes and goes? Is it changed by the position change, for example lying down? Does it wake you up at night? Does the shortness of breath interfere with ADLs? 2) Fatigue. When did it start? Is it sudden or gradual? What time of the day does it happen, morning, evening? Any recent changes in the energy levels? Do you get tired easily? Are you able to keep up with family or co-workers? 3) Cough. How long have you had it? ...two breaths will help ease you through this challenging process. As a Certified Healthcare Provider I have practiced CPR plenty of times and can tell you it’s not easy but as they say “practice makes perfect”. First step, you must see if the victim is unresponsive, if the person does not respond and is not breathing or breathing properly then you must quickly call 911 and get back to the unconscious/conscious person. If the victim is responsive let them know you are here to help and ask if they want help. If they refuse help, leave them alone but stay close until further authorities arrive. When this first step is all fully completed continue to the second step; chest compressions. Second step requires some muscle power. When the victim gives you the okay, you need to start chest compressions. Chest compressions will help the heart get a jump start. If the victim starts gasping this means you are doing a great job, keep going. Start the compressions in the center of the chest approximately two inches in depth about a hundred compressions per minute very quickly and swiftly. According to the American Heart Association you must complete five cycles of compressions and breaths. Last step, giving breaths; they are usually recommended but not required. If you choose to give breaths, you then must tilt the head back lift the chin, and then pinch the nose, cover their mouth with yours and blow until you see chest rise. You need to give at least two breaths and each breath should...

As we both experienced our journey of grief, it was a long road for the both of us. In a person’s life that is grieving it is very difficult for them to see the bright side of things, or in another words to be optimistic. Although Cheryl and I both experienced a very difficult time in our lives, we both handled our situations very differently. “Life is not measured by how many breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” In saying this, grieve can be one of those moments that take your breath away. It is by choice the way you cope with the cards that have been dealt for you! In the book Wild, the main character Cheryl experiences the death of her mother. Cheryl and her mother were very close all throughout her life, considering that her father was out of the picture at a young age. Science findings are based upon evidence. Introduction to the Scientific Method Worksheet Long ago, many people believed that living things could come from nonliving things. They thought that worms came from wood and that maggots came from decaying meat. This idea was called spontaneous generation. In 1668, an Italian biologist, Francesco Redi, did experiments to prove that maggots did not come from meat. One of his experiments is shown below. Group I Group II Redi placed pieces of meat in several jars. He divided the jars into two groups. He covered the first group of jars with fine cloth. He left the second group of jars uncovered. Redi observed the jars for several days. He saw flies on the cloth of the...

Perform chin lift by placing two fingers under the point of the patient’s chin and lifting the chin forward. Jaw thrust, performed by placing fingers behind patient’s jaw and lifting jaw forward. 5. Assess Breathing for 10 seconds: Look for chest movements. Listen for breath sounds. Feel for movement of air. If the person is breathing, turn her in to the recovery position. If there is absence of breathing in the presence of an open airway, take this as an absence of circulation. Give 30 chest compressions followed by two breaths. Breaths are delivered by taking a full breath and placing your lips around the mouth and blowing steadily into the mouth. If possible, a facemask and self-inflating bag or pocket mask should be used. Maintain head tilt chin lift when giving breaths. Each breath should last about one second and should make the chest rise as with a normal breath. Oxygen should be given as soon as possible. 6. For Chest compression: Chest compressions are delivered to the middle of the lower half of the sternum. Place the heel of your first...

At that point, I knew, I hit rock bottom. Nothing mattered. Nothing made sense. I knew they were watching me. They followed me home. I couldn’t see them but I knew they were there. I had to get away. They didn’t understand anything about me. They didn’t care. They took Tess. They knew nothing about what we shared. They were numb to it. They had to be. They were outsiders. The reasoning in the advertisement would be most strengthened if which one of the following were true? a) Many jewelry stores other than Gem World also provide written certification of the quality of their diamonds. b) The certifications of diamonds at Gem World are written by people with years of experience in appraising gems. c) The diamonds sold at Gem World are generally of higher quality than those sold at other jewelry stores. d) The diamond market is so volatile that prices of the most expensive diamonds can change by hundreds of dollars from one day to the next. e) The written certifications of diamonds at Gem World are provided by an independent company of gem specialists. Statistician: A financial magazine claimed that its survey of its subscribers showed that North Americans are more concerned about their personal finances than about politics. One question was: "Which do you think about more: politics or the joy of earning money?" This question is clearly biased. Also, the readers of the magazine are a self-selecting sample. Thus, there is reason to be skeptical about the conclusion drawn in the magazine’s survey. ...

...physical pain, while is not truly a friend to any of us, is bound by time, with therapy, medication, and persistence, it goes away. Emotional pain however, cuts to the heart. And it lasts long past the time when you think you've had all you can take. How can you heal the pain that stems from love itself? Patty Smith said it best with her song, "Sometimes love just ain't enough" To have a true insurmountable love in your heart for the one you call your own, and to know that it will never be enough. That all that love, need and desire you have for them will never fade yet... Will be rejected for that of another. I've been trying to describe the feeling, put it into words... Its a feeling of incalculable desperation and pain, like being in an ice cold pond, under a sheet of ice and you can see the warm sun in the sky and up on the other side of the wall of ice, ungrateful basking in its warmth and breathing without a thought, standing just over you and not hearing your cries. All the while you are beating away at the ice trying to get just one gasp of the sweet air they're taking for granted... With every swing and kick you grow weaker panic overwhelming your thought, and the pain in your chest is so strong you know there’s no hope and little time, yet still you fight. If you could pull just one breath you know you it would give you the time you need to catch someone’s attention, or to crack the impenetrable wall keeping you from the only thing that...

...1 PM The fierce sun beat upon the seemingly never ending Mediterranean sea, reflecting the light into a blinding patch of shine. The sea was calm, pulsing rhythmically and breathing with cadence. Just off the shore he floated, motionless, his black mop of hair the only visible spec in the blue, bobbing up and down with every breath the sea took. Above his jade and olive complexion his face washed pale red from the unforgiving sun and the tips of his black hair begun to tinge grey. From the shoulders down his body was beneath the water, kept afloat by a life jacket. The water, although calm and peaceful was carefully wrecking his body apart; limb by limb, organ by organ. His fingernails had begun to tender and were now peeling back and his lips were rough and cracked. Beneath his clothes, his skin was raw. His entire body riddled with gaping sores leaving him liable to a whole catalogue of infections. The pressure of the water on his feeble body was reducing circulation and made breathing a gruelling ask. And finally and most significantly beneath the milky water were a family of ocean creatures who could definitely sense the blood off his oozing sores....
