The classroom has twenty three students and according to the teacher only two are ELL’s students, both females and Hispanics, both were born in the United States. The teacher told me that both students understand and speak English well, but they had problems spelling, writing and reading. The parents of both students do not speak any English and are not able to help them with their studies. The Title I teacher goes to the general classroom twice a week for fifty minutes. The lesson I observed was on how to write the last paragraph of a hero story the students had been working on the previous week. The hero story was about a hero that decided not to use his/her powers to do every day things, such as cook, laundry or walk. Both students
