The Last Time I Cried

I was in this town full of happy people. They are genuine when it comes to interacting with each other. They are not hesitant to express what they feel. They smile to their greatest desire. Problems and heartaches do not exist. One morning, the bright ray of the sun touched my skin and it made me woke up in no time. I get up and ate my breakfast with my family without any word with them. After breakfast, I rushed to my room and opened my planner to look for the things-to-do for that day. It was amusing to see that I really have a lot of stuffs to do. I find it very productive whenever I conquered the day with everything accomplished. So, I went out and conquered the day with all my strength.
I went home by that night, very tired and weary yet I am very thankful for that very productive day since I conquered and accomplished everything. I decided to go to sleep to have an early rest. I grew up with love and fear of the Lord. I used to make reflection and pray to God before sleeping. In Praying I used to follow an ACTS prayer. That night I cried after summing-up all of the good things that happen in that day. That cry was a tear of joy because my mother’s health is improving. My mother was unwell for the past days. She always catches her breath whenever she took a short walk. She can’t sleep very well every night because she is not feeling well.
I am very thankful for that day because may mother is getting well. I love her so much, but I do not know how to express it to her. At that very moment I remembered the activity in our school that gave time to us to have a talk. That memory made me cry more. I wanted to say sorry for all of the things that made her angry. I wanted to say that I love her, but I fell asleep and woke up with heavy eyes.
I realize that crying is not a sign of being weak. Crying signifies how strong a person is. It is

...I let it fall, my heart, And as it fell you rose to claim it It was dark and I was over Until you kissed my lips and you saved me My hands, they're strong But my knees were far too weak, To stand in your arms Without falling to your feet But there's a side to you That I never knew, never knew. All the things you'd say They were never true, never true, And the games you play You would always win, always win. [Chorus:] But I set fire to the rain, Watched it pour as I touched your face, Well, it burned while I cried 'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name! When I lay with you I could stay there Close my eyes Feel you here forever You and me together Nothing is better 'Cause there's a side to you That I never knew, never knew, All the things you'd say, They were never true, never true, And the games you play You would always win, always win. [Chorus:] But I set fire to the rain, Watched it pour as I touched your face, Well, it burned while I cried 'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name! I set fire to the rain And I threw us into the flames Where it felt something die 'Cause I knew that that was the last time, the last time! Sometimes I wake up by the door, That heart you caught must be waiting for you Even now when we're already over I can't help myself from looking for you. [Chorus:] I set fire to the rain, Watched it pour as I touched your face, Well, it burned while I cried 'Cause I heard...

... Saying I LOVE YOU For the Last Time! Jakima Spencer British Literature Mr. Jenkins October 31, 2011 Jakima Spencer Mr. Jenkins British Literature October 30, 2011 Saying I LOVE YOU For the Last Time! Always wished I could say I love you for the last time. One of the best female role models I could ever ask for is Susie Mae Spear. My great grandmother always did for those before doing for herself. I could not ask for a better great grandmother. If I could meet and spend an evening with again, I would cry. My great grandmother passed away two weeks after my auntie passed away. The family did not know what to do so we just cried. My great grandmother was the backbone of the family. Whenever we were having problems, we went to great grandmother because we knew she had the solution to every little thing. When we meet again, there would not be a conversation, there will more so be crying and laughter. We would reminisce on the past. All the good and bad times we have had throughout life. I would inform her on how the family has changed over the past two years. Every since she passed away, everyone has been separating and slipping away. I would tell her how I wish she would have never died because then maybe I would have a reason to get along with my family and not be ready to move way. After we finish talking about the family, I would tell my great grandmother how much I love her for the last time. When she was sick, I did not want...

Describe a Place

...cheerleading regionals, and to make my anxiety even worse, it was my senior year. So, this was it, my last chance. I walked into the huge, bright, and shiny gym that reeked of sweat and hotdogs. I didn’t pay to much attention to the already quick growing crowd of parents, friends, teachers and other supporters. My eyes were stuck on the big, blue mats right in the middle of the shiny floors. It was all so real, the last four years of hard practice and conditioning all for this last chance. To achieve the dream I’ve had since age 10. I wanted to go to sates. I went to see my team who were all dressed in long sleeve orange and black uniforms with big bows on the top of their heads and shoes so white it hurts my eyes. Each one of my teammates couldn’t stop jumping around like little bunnies to try to keep their adrenaline at bay. They all were just as excited, but nervous as I was. For these next 3 minutes on the mat, we would become one for the last time, all of us moving together in perfect harmony. We walked into the hallway to wait for our turn; we all just watched each other move, not saying a word. It was finally our turn, everyone looked at me and all I can say is “This is it”. The next 3 minutes felt like 30, but when it was over I couldn’t help but cry. That was the last time, no more sweaty 3 hour practices every night and no more stinky gyms to compete in for 6 hours every Saturday. I would miss my team and never forget all of the lessons of, hard work, teamwork, and the powers...

My Way a Discourse Analysis

...My Way by Paul Anka 1969; A Song Lyrics Analysis * Lyrics My Way by Paul Anka 1969 And now, the end is near; And so I face the final curtain. My friend, I'll say it clear, I'll state my case, of which I'm certain. I've lived a life that's full. I've traveled each and every highway; But more, much more than this, I did it my way. Regrets, I've had a few; But then again, too few to mention. I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption. I planned each charted course; Each careful step along the byway, But more, much more than this, I did it my way. Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew. But through it all, when there was doubt, I ate it up and spit it out. I faced it all and I stood tall; And did it my way. I've loved, I've laughed and cried. I've had my fill; my share of losing. And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing. To think I did all that; And may I say - not in a shy way, "No, oh no not me, I did it my way". For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught. To say the things he truly feels; And not the words of one who kneels. The record shows I took the blows - And did it my way! * Theme The lyrics of "My Way" tell the story of a man who, having grown old, reflects on his life as death approaches. He is comfortable with his mortality and takes responsibility for how he dealt with all the challenges of life while...

Boy Who Cried Wolf

...The Boy Who Cried Wolf (Appropriation) I was lying there still on the grass, the flock of sheep grazing next to me. My eyelids battered against my urges, resisting the need to sleep. I got up with the wind ruffling through my hair. I called "Dolly" to the nearest sheep. She came over and leaned in lovingly while I stroked its ear. Suddenly there was a rustle behind me. I turned around anxiously. To my horror I was staring eye to eye with a wolf. Its piercing blue eyes caused me to freeze, its neck white as snow. With two leaps it had reached me and in one quick move it pinned me to the ground. I tried to call for help, but I could only manage a weak gasp. Its eyes were filled with malice and intent while a tear rolled down my cheek. As it scratched my face, I finally managed a sound. "WOLF" I bellowed at the top of my lungs. I heard the village stir and I think the wolf heard it too as I watched it slip away into the night. After about 30 seconds the first villager appeared with a pitchfork. "Where is the wolf, boy?", he asked. I replied, "It disappeared into those bushes". The villager gave me a menacing look and turned to the bushes. "There is nothing there" he exclaimed. "Y-Yes there was just a minute ago", I pleaded. "The last time there was a wolf here, was many years ago", the villager stated. He continued, "It took away a boy just like you. He would cry wolf just to see us villagers panic and try to help. However when we got there, there would be no one except the boy...

Psychology

...children we create memories that last a lifetime. Memories that we reflect back to as the “good times’. Never understand the meaning of life, let alone the memories and lessons that complements it. Lessons, of life and hardships, memories of love and neighborhood games of tag. Many memories that we hold near and dear to us everyday were once lessons that life taught us. Though not all memories we have are fun and full of laughter, some maybe even most are full of pain and despair. A few memories I reflect on often are, meeting my best friend in elementary school and losing a close friend of mines in middle. Also, being crowned Homecoming Queen and getting my first acceptance letter to college. All of these memories have aided me in my everyday life with a person that’s been placed in my life and lessons they’ve taught me. When I was five years old I began first grade at Henry W. Allen Elementary School. Now as a kid I was very outgoing and very friendly. I saw the world as this huge coloring book just waiting for me to add my own color to it. I saw the innocence in everyone. I was so naïve and so full of life that some things I just didn’t understand. One thing that I never understood was bullying because everyone to me were the same. I didn’t see color, ethnicity, physical disorder, or even gender, I just saw humans. While on the yard one recess I saw a group of kids that I associated myself with harassing this little girl that was in my class. I walked over to them and instantly...

Rise of Contractor

...observed his pitiable state. I say children, but that belies the range of their ages. The smallest were young children of only four or five while the oldest were full-grown teenagers of fifteen or sixteen. Their sole common denominator could be seen on their faces. Scorn. This group of children joyfully surrounded the burning youth, laughing with mirth. An unfeigned laughter that came from the heart. Innocent. Naive. Cruel. The cruelty of a child who cannot differentiate between right and wrong. Like children who pluck off the wings of a dragonfly just to watch it struggle, they enjoyed the youth’s predicament as he painfully struggled the same way. “Pathetic”, said a boy who seemed to be the eldest among all.”Are you one of us?”. “You are a disgrace to Agres bloodline”.He raised his right arm and on his hand a ball of flame was formed. Suddenly water was thrown on the boy. “Stop it. That’s enough”, the owner of this voice was a beautiful girl. She stood in front of the boy protecting him with her body.“How dare you pick on someone who is weak?”.The boy had lost his conscious. “Are you alright? “asked the girl who was applying bandages to the boy. “Ouch...” the boy cried in agony, but deep inside he was happy that he was saved. “Ummm. My n. nn….name is Aron Agres”, he murmured. The girl laughed at the sight of Aron blushing hard. “Asuna”, that’s my name. “What is this place?” Aron asked. “It’s an orphanage where I stay. Alexandre Dumas The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas [Pere] AUTHOR’S PREFACE IN WHICH IT IS PROVED that, notwithstanding their names’ ending in os and is, the heroes of the story which we are about to have the honor to relate to our readers have nothing mythological about them. A short time ago, while making researches in the Royal Library for my History of Louis XIV, I stumbled by chance upon the Memoirs of M. D’Artagnan, printed—as were most of the works of that period, in which authors could not tell the truth without the risk of a residence, more or less long, in the Bastille—at Amsterdam, by Pierre Rouge. The title 3 attracted me; I took them home with me, with the...

There is so much darkness here with the people in their idol worship. They really need to see the light and be set free. All my life until the time I went to Vanuatu last year, my first full-time missionary work, I was tunnel-visioned and focused on just getting to the mission field. I was like a bull behind a gate, trying to get out! I kept crying out for years, “God, send me now!” As a matter of fact, the year before God opened the door for me to go to the mission field full-time, the desire to go was so strong, it was like a burning fire in me, and I cried, “Lord, take it away or send...

Old Lady: Dear Lord, as I daily prayed to all saint’s in heaven for our intercession in heaven to You that You might send some good man who would fall in love with my niece and marry her… then I could die in peace.
