Having a little sister can be fun. You always have someone to play with, get into trouble with, and especially play tricks on. One day I was watching my sister, Ava, while my parents were gone. We spent the day playing at the park, having a picnic, and fishing. While we were walking home from fishing, we walked past an abandoned mill. My sister looked up at me and said, “What is that place?” I answered, “The Lidtke Mill.” She said back, “The Lick Key Well? ” I laughed to myself and decided to play along with what she thought I said. I told her that the legend has it that if you lick the side of the well that a special key will appear. The key will unlock a secret door. She asked, “What’s inside the secret door?” I told her, “No one has …show more content…
You’re not afraid, are you?” “No, not at all,” she said, unsure of herself. “Let’s go for it and find out what the treasure is.” So we went and found the well about 10 yards away from the road where we had been walking. Of course no key showed up with a door, but secretly I wanted the key and the mystery door to show up too. During the last 2 seconds we heard a voice that said, “Have you found the key?”
Both of us jumped in fear, however we didn't say anything because we were so scared. When I jumped I landed on something...it was a key. I picked up the key and Ava noticed a door off in the distance. She said “I bet our treasure is in there!” I was also very shocked because I just made up the story to prank my sister. I didn’t think it would actually happen! So we went over to the door, unlocked it, and cautiously opened the door, excited and scared to see what was behind the door. All of a sudden we heard loud voices that yelled “BOO!” Ava and I both screamed as loud as we have ever screamed! We were surprised to find out that the boo was from our parents who were hiding! “What are you doing here?!” I asked still trying to catch my
