There has been some unsureness and some debatable questions over the question, “What is the meaning of “until Shiloh come” in Genesis 49:10. There are many sources that give very explanatory answers to this question. However, all of these sources do not say that this phrase/question mean the same thing. After researching several sources, there are three sources that I have found to have some great information, and answers, as to what the answer to this question really is. To begin, the website, “www.christiancourier.com,” (2016), states that the actual word Shiloh has many meanings. For example, “It has been interpreted to mean “offspring,” “the one sent out,” “he to whom it [the scepter] belongs,” “rest-giver,” or “peace-bringer” (Christian Courier Publications, 2016). They also; “however, regard “Shiloh” as a personal appellation belonging to Christ” (Christian Courier Publications, 2016). Furthermore, it states that many Christians have different perspectives or views on what this means. Meanwhile, the website concludes that “until Shiloh come” refers to the Messiah coming back; therefore, Shiloh being another name for “The Messiah.” …show more content…
