The Millennium’s Love Hookups are a way for people to get immediate pleasure without the pressure of a committed relationship. The generation have started to look for hookups rather than getting to know the person which belittles the human intellect and decreases the intimacy of sex in a committed relationship. The hookup culture is hindering our generation due to casual sex, morals, and the latest pop culture. Yet, for all their future fantasies on love and marriage may take a toll. Hook ups is a certain type of sexual activity outside of romantic relationships that imply an absence of commitment, emotional attachment, or volition in the United States and Europe. Casual sex and hanging out defies the flourishing rule of what makes love and marriage work: emotional vulnerability. Schulten states, “Given the way members of Generation Y have been conditioned, their seemingly blithe attitude about marriage, and sex perhaps even about love, may become less of a boon and more of a bust.” (1).
