My first time hearing about undocumented immigrants was when I was at Tartan Senior High. It was my sophomore year when Donald Trump was elected. The halls were crazy and students were crying uncontrollably. There was this girl, I remember her like it was yesterday. Not only was she being bullied, but there was racism involved, too. Kids told her to go back to her country which did not make her feel welcome. Tartan was crazy at this time.

An undocumented immigrant is somebody who is not in our system. It is hard for them in the country because they can’t get any legal papers, like a driver’s license. It’s hard for undocumented workers to get jobs. The jobs they have to get are blue collar jobs. They can’t work legally without drawing attention
