The Reformation was the break down of the cathloic church. It took a way a lot of the cathloic church’s power. This caused the black death and the renassaince. There was a war between the cathloic’s and the protestants.

They increased there power by absolutism which means that the king or queen has all the power. The king’s said that they were answering to god and after they said that the people would stop questioning them.

They were building new army’s with their citizens money. They got this money by taxing them more money than they used to.

The peasants revolted and the monarch raised taxes even higher so they can make a bigger army and it made them even more mad. Having the bigger army
