Although leadership is important for career success, one also needs to learn teamwork and collaboration. Even though being a leader is looked at as being “top dog,” there are plenty of people who aid in the success of the whole. Teamwork is the work done by a group of people done to the efficiency of the entire group. Without teamwork, friction would negatively affect the potential outcome of projects. Learning to get along with other people is a fundamental skill that should have been taught to us at a young age and is necessary for success in any career. In agriscience education, teamwork is vital for numerous scenarios. Be it a dairy judging team, officer team, or class project, students, along with their teacher, need to work well as a team in order to succeed to their ultimate potential. To develop my own teamwork skills, I will look to take up any opportunity that presents itself for me to work on a team. Diversity can be described as the state of having many different types, ideas, or forms. It is especially important because different points of view can lead to change, which could certainly be change for the better. Diversity in agriscience education has been acting since it was founded. Some examples could be how women and African Americans were invited to join the National FFA Organization. Another example in agriculture is how more Global Positioning System technology, along with drones and other amenities, are being implemented into the trade. As for me and diversity, I will try to welcome change, as long as I foresee it to be positive, with open arms. Although I am naturally not a huge fan of change, I do realize that it is extremely important factor for growth and development in an organization. Therefore, in future situations, I will try to welcome change while also staying true to my roots and
