I think it’s safe to say we are here because of Peyton Manning. He made us love the game of football. His connections with Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Brandon Stokely and Dallas Clark shaped the NFL. He changed how offenses run, the elimination of the full back started with Manning and his Colts. And the speed that they ran the game at was blinding. The notion that you had to be a meathead to play football was destroyed because of Peyton and the game got better because of it. The no-huddle at the line it matched the way the world is moving where we demand speed at all times and he perfected it.
