The concept of self
The concept of self is an assortment of belief and understanding of how each person see things differently because of their feelings, beliefs, interpersonal relationship, and attitude. The term self identifies a person racial, sexual and gender roles, it is what makes them different from everyone else. In order to determine a successful investigate, social psychologist have separated self concept in two structures: conceptual and operational. Conceptual is define as self-concept which is separated into four characteristics, that consist of the material self, the inner self, the interpersonal self and the societal self, which is a reflection of a person and their different roles interactions with others. A person’s personality, characteristics, appearances, and social qualities is what makes you, it creates a difficult person of knowing and understanding the real you is not so easy. Finally, this image was created in many ways; however, it is influenced by our interactions with significant people in our lives (Cherry, 2013).
Each person self consists of characteristic and personality traits distinguish us from other people. The relational of self is having personal relationships with your husband, wife, mother, father, sister, and brother. Self-concept represents the person I am or the person I have become. Self-concept is also made up as one self schema, which works together with self-esteem, self knowledge and the social self from the self as a whole. This includes the past, present, and future self. It represents each person principles of what they might become, what they would like to become, or why they are afraid of trying. As we go through life things are going to change or getting ready to change. There are some changes that are beyond our control, but changers can change any belief a person wants (Cherry, 2013).
Self-concept is one of the main factors that have an impact on a person self esteem and their self confidence, they feel more confident within themselves. Usually, when individuals feels confidence they seem more assure of themselves, but sometimes a smile is all a person needs in order for them to feel relaxed. Each individual needs something or someone to build up their confidence. There are many topics pertaining to psychology, but many theorists have projected several topics about self concept (Jeremy, and Cheryl, 2013).
How does as individual developed self concepts
The public obtain self-knowledge by interpreting that knowledge into many behaviors, generally since the four basis of self-knowledge; consist of self awareness, introspection, social comparison, and social criticism. Some individuals gain an inaccessible self-concept from self-perception and introspection, while developing an interconnected of self-concept form social connection and social response. The social perception was developed so each individual can observe their behavior in order to resolve their attitude. However, it is an important source for each person to observe their own behavior (Fiske, 2004).
Introspection refers to how each person analyzes their most inner thoughts and feelings of who they are by considering their experiences and behavior. It can also help each individual to recognize how their attitude is unrelated to their actions. Self-concepts are generally how a person views their most inner thoughts and feelings, but other people could view their behavior in different manor. Social comparison talks about how each individual make connection of themselves in others in order to establish improvement. This allows each person to gain self knowledge by looking at different people. We should consider how each individual can help to determine our standards of measurements, such as financial status, intelligence, and emotional strength (Fiske, 2004).
Self and emotion
Self-esteem is analysis on how a person thinks about themselves. The connection among self-concept and self-esteem is completely linked once an individual perceives themselves negatively, to experiencing negative feelings about themselves and vice versa. Sometimes they benefit from a positive conclusion but there are times that things get worse. The connection among self-concept and self-esteem usually converse in three psychological theories, self discrepancy theory, self-evaluation maintenance theory, and affective forecasting theory (Jordan, Logel, and Zanna, 2013).
The self-discrepancy looks at three different descriptions of self, the actual self, ought-self, and the ideal self. The actual self focus on who the individual is presently. The ought-self is a description of whom the individual believes he or she should turn out to be. The ideal self symbolize an individual desires of being what they want to become. The ought-self, center on what supposed to be, is connected to thoughts of responsibility, usually a person feels guilty it they are not presenting the best in all they do. The ideal self is join to the desire and purpose, which is connected to other optimistic emotion. The ought-self seem to highlight anticipation by escaping the pessimistic consequences of the ideal self center on support, growth, and optimistic outcome (Fiske, 2004).
Self-discrepancy looks at the inconsistency among the actual self and ideal self, generating thoughts of disappointment once a person goal has been accomplish goal. The disagreement among the actual self and the ought-self focus on keep away from depressing consequences that could lead to fretfulness. Consequently, failure to perform in agreement with the ought-self and the ideal self generate negative feeling and reduce self esteem. Self-evaluation protects the emotional difference in relationship. This assumption observes a disturbing conflict that arise within the central area of a person self concept when threa tened by another individual. Self-evaluation examines the significance of each individual and their performance (Fiske, 2004).
Self Behavior
Self-presentation, self-monitoring, and self-regulation clarify the connection among each individual self-concept and their behavior. The connection involving self-concept and self-presentation focus on how each individual present themselves to others. Some individuals behave differently depending on their social background or their influences. Self-presentation has many different varieties of personal goals immediate situations, audiences and society. Self-presentation seems to focus on each student achievements as he or she presents them as being good students.
Self-regulation manipulates each activity within a community or environment. Self-regulations examines the way each individual is able to regulate and control their behavior, but some individuals are able to uncontrolled or control their behavior. Attempts at self-control diminish and individual self-regulatory capabilities. Consequently, self-control can be diminishing by a person ability to control or resist eating high in calories foods, so she can regulate her behavior during her next change at resist the food (Fiske, 2013).

Conclusion
Since we reside in a social community, our concern of self-presentation is administer by one self-concept which is a steady balanced of thoughtfulness. Each individual appear to be bending to their perception. Although, each individual seem to be adjusting graceful to their sensitivity of their body, by completely feeling relaxed within their social context.
