A famous line from a famous fairytale, one that has been twisted by Gregory Maguire in Mirror Mirror. 7 year old Bianca de Nevada, lives in Montefiore, Italy in 1502, with her father, the cook Primavera, and Fra Ludovico. A mirror is found in a lake and taken to Binca’s house. At Montefiore, Bianca is sheltered and told never to leave.
