The Syro-Ephraimitic Crisis was the conflict that arose when Ahaz, king of Judah would not join forces with Israel and Damascus to engage in battle against Assyrians (Roberts, 2010). The plan of this mission was to attack Jerusalem and separate it from Judah then replace Ahaz with one of their own supporters (Roberts, 2010). When Judah became aware of this mission, they became fearful (Roberts, 2010).
