The Shakespearean play “the taming of the shrew” uses a series of comedic devices to further advance the plot as both odd and comical situations are applied to show Katharina’s objection to marriage, The manipulation of Christopher sly in order to convince him that he is a lord, and the female disguises used against him which would later lead to the taming of the shrew.
