The World’s Most Ethical companies Kimberly-Clark is one of the most ethical companies in the world. It promotes ethical and practical business standards and up hold legal compliance that help shape future industries today. It behaves in a morally responsible way toward consumers, the environment and employees in several ways. By placing consumers at the center of ever thing they do through the product they produce that improve their lives on a daily basis. Products like Kleenex, Scott, Pull-Ups, Kotex, Poise and Depends rank high in essentials for consumers today. Kimberly-Clark also gives back to the community through donations to the Boys and Girls Club as well as giving back to the community through jobs and improving and shaping the lives of families. They also support consumers for a stand point of disaster relief in neighborhoods through donations of food, clothing, and financial contributions. From and environmental aspect Kimberly-Clark produce product form all natural wood products, and recycled fibers for third party certified forest systems. These systems are Forest stewardship council (FSC) and also another system includes Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI). These organizations are associated with the Greenpeace and Wildlife Funds. Also environmental alternative fibers are used from bamboo and agricultural waste fibers such as wheat straw are used. The disaster relief efforts also help the environment through first response efforts supported by Kimberly-Clark to The American Red Cross. Based on a study that we conducted in 2011, we raised the concern of lapsed fire-safety licenses with the Government of Bangladesh and engaged the Bangladeshi University of Engineering and Technology as well as a specialist to assess the electrical installation in four factories. These assessments were finalised in spring 2012 and their results were presented to concerned stakeholders at a seminar in Dhaka. The most common shortcomings in regards to electrical safety such as poor-quality materials, poor maintenance and lack of proper electrician training were discussed. During the seminar, a number of actions were proposed, including introducing stricter legislation and inspections. In order to set a good example, we have stipulated that all our supplier factories conduct electrical assessments in their factories, and have offered to share the costs with them.
